Twinversations

Fiona:  Saturday is the bestest day ever.

Sophie:  Yeah, we get to help Mommy with the chores.

Fiona:  I’m washing the sink.

Mommy:  Why is Saturday the best day ever?

Sophie:  Because, we get to help you with the chores, that’s why it’s the bestest day ever!

Fiona is humming while she works….so cute!

Fiona:  (yelling from the bathroom)  Mom, I have an idea.  How about we take turns cleaning.

I really hope they keep this up for the next 16 years, what are the odds?

Yeah, I’m with Sara…slim to none. My girls used to do that…they’d BEG to help me clean. Now? Not so much. But, as Chris says; when they do help out they actually ARE a help. So there’s that.

I have a whole house they can clean all by themselves if they want!

The odds that they will help with chores because they thinks it´s the bestest thing in the world are pretty slim… But if you keep telling them how much they help you and how you couldn´t do without them, they will keep helping out just to feel good about themselves.
My ten year old daughter knows how to do a lot of things, like ironing, cooking simple dishes, clean windows, mow the lawn, dress her brother and sister… She isn´t always thrilled when I ask her to help out, but now she really is a help. And the twins are copying their older sister: they are SOOO proud when they made their bed or washed the windows…
