Twin girls for Sarah Jessica Parker!

44-year-old Sarah Jessica Parker and 47-year-old Matthew Broderick are expecting twin girls this summer. The couple, who are parents to 6-year-old James, had no luck trying to add to their brood, so looked to a surrogate to expand their family. “They had a lot of unsuccessful tries,” a friend was quoted as
saying. “They came to the conclusion that this was going to be the best
alternative for expanding their family.”

Sources say they “are
happily anticipating the birth of their twin daughters later this
summer with the generous help of a surrogate. The entire family is
overjoyed.” 

Of course, like any mom to be, Parker is a little nervous about balancing the pending arrivals with her work and her son. She tells the New York Daily News, “It’s been a complicated past few
weeks. My main concern is that my husband and son have enough time.
I’ve felt very conflicted over the last few weeks. Hopefully, our son
is feeling loved and taken care of. I can’t really complain because
it’s my choice to work, but that doesn’t mean I don’t spend a better
part of the day worrying about whether my family is getting enough
(time) from me.”

Any mother who wants to continue to work and have a career outside the
home goes through this, so I feel very much a part of the sisterhood.”
