We are a tv family.
Sean and I have always been big tv watchers. While packing for our move this week, we found a grocery bag full of VHS tapes that we used record our shows on back in the old days 90’s.
I am pretty sure that the PVR is one of the most important inventions. I put it right up there with the telephone, the computer and the car.
How did my children get put to bed prior to PVR? What did I do before west coast timeshifting? What did I do before live pause?

When we first got our HD box I stuck to all my comfortable channels. The kids stuck to their favourite channels. There were the 2 that they switched between. But then my oldest told me that we got Playhouse Disney and the rest is history. When the kids get the tv – that’s what’s on. Eva hops into our bed every morning at 7:30 and changes it from Breakfast Television to Imagination Movers.
At 5pm when I’m making dinner – My Friends Tigger and Pooh keep them occupied.
And at 7:30 we end our day with Bear singing the good-bye song to Luna.

My kids are tv watchers and I am totally ok with it.
As I have posted before, Eva and Cuyler are in very many ways at the same level. While, at times it does hurt a little, it can make tv watching easy peesy.
Cuyler doesn’t play video games or ride a bike or skateboard (yet). He loves bouncing on his ball, playing on the computer, movies and tv.

So when it’s time for me to prepare a meal, hop in the shower or when I just need some down time I can throw on a show that I know they’ll both enjoy. No fighting over the tv in this house.
In recognition of my love of Playhouse Disney and its fantastic programming for little ones, I have 100 Playhouse Disney sampler dvd’s to giveaway!!
Each dvd has one full episode of each of the following shows (total running time 1hr 35 minutes):
Mickey Mouse Clubhouse
Handy Manny

This is a little late but thanks for the DVD – my 5 year old enjoyed it so much that now since we have it on our tv, she wants to watch it all the time. Thanks for introducing us to the channel!
Oh Gosh…There are SO many. Toopy & Binoo, Spongebob Square Pants, and, believe it or not…The Golden Girls. He loves the theme song and the older ladies on the show (he’s only 9 months). I think it reminds him of his Grandmother. Go figure!
My grandchildren still watch the old Disney movies. I think they enjoy them as much as the new ones.
My grandkids like DVDs more than television shows. Toy Story and Up are their favorites. I watch with them and enjoy seeing the looks on their faces as they enjoy the stories.
my son loves cars, thomas the tank engine, pocoyo, toopy and bino
My kids like Mickey Mouse and I think it work good for their mental ability.
My son loves Super WHY and What’s your news.
me, pre-baby: “i am NEVER going to babysit my children with the television… no i mean NEVER!”
me post 2 babies: ” what do you mean the television is broken??? (slightly hyperventilating) no really, you must go and get another one…???!!!! like NOW!!!! i dont care that we dont have the money, charge it!!! i cannot believe that you broke it, i do not care that you think that the children watch too much tv (me yelling at my husband) you do not stay at home with them all day long, go and get one now, or i will call a divorce lawyer, AND NO I AM ABSOLUTELY NOT KIDDING!!!!”
what have i learned: until you have children, kindly shut up, you see i knew everything before i had kids, how to raise them right, how to love them right, how to not punish them, how to have tonnes of patience with them….. and after about the first 18 months with my first daughter i am now humble enough to say, “I have absolutely NO FREAKING IDEA what i am doing from day to day…… the television, as evil as it is, (and i do believe that it can be evil) gives us mama’s a much needed break… as awful as it is to admit to all you mama’s or not-yet-mama’s who got it all figured out, until you guys can share your advice on how to preoccupy our beautiful darlings while you are folding laundry, cooking, washing the floors, scrubbing the toilets……. please please please kindly ‘shut up’ !!!
My 6 year daughter loves watching pbs kids. She’s begining to read and the program that has been a great booster is Word world. I love to watch it too!!
I am a mother of 3. One pre teen and the other two are 8 & 7. Although I may have only given birth to 3 kids I always can look forward to a garden full of kids in the night playing “SPOT LIGHT” . Sometimes upwards of 10 – 15 kids from all over the neighbourhood. Fire pits are also one of their favorites. I have many opportunities for many great snap shots. I then proceed to my computer to send these sometimes funny photos to family that live far away. My sister in New Brunswick, brother in Nova Scotia, sister in law in Ontario, and my brother in law in Alberta. I always enjoy having them around. Not just mine but everyone else’s. There is always something for someone here to do. Like swimming, volley ball, badminton, basketball, tether ball, or play in the tree house, and swing in a hammock. I believe in keeping kids healthy and active. That way I know they will always be happy.
As the mother of 4 biological and 3 step children it is important to remain engaged with your children individualy and keep them active. I know that this saved my children who(some) are contributing members of society and becoming leaders in our communities.
Kids need to learn to be responsible for their actions, whether the results are good or bad. Use all situations as “teaching moments”.
Allow your kids to live their consequences. It’s best to resist the urge to rescue them or provide too much for them.
My thoughts and strategies for my children to succeed is to follow their passion – never give up – no matter how long it takes to reach your goal
My thoughts and strategies for helping my kids succeed in an ever-changing world, is to empower them to take control or their own destiny. As a parent, I can’t be by their side throughout their life, so I prepare them to be in charge.
Spongebob!!!!!
So… although it’s not a television SHOW, my son adores the Telus commercials!! Especially the hippos! But he also loves playhouse Disney! Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and Little Einsteins especially!
Nature shows intrigue my step-daughter.
my grandsons favorite movie is Rudolph…helps you feel cool in this heat
Both my boys love Handy Manny, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and the Discovery Channel. I especially like the fact they are now old enough to go downstairs early in the morning, turn on the Disney channel and eat the cereal I have set out and give me a little more weekend sleep.
The name “Scooby-Doo” originates from the final line in the Frank Sinatra track “Strangers In The Night”
My kids don’t watch “TV”, as in cable. But they watch DVDs. My 3 year old daughter has been watching tv since she was 3 months old and loves Baby Einstein, sign language, anything with bulldozers, monster trucks, airplanes, and just about any learning videos. I think her favorite is either a helicoptor one or a sign language one she calls “I love you”. My 2 year old son rarely sits still long enough to watch anything, but he does like Brainy Baby colors and shapes.
my granddaughter just loves Handy Manny-can sit forever and watch if we let her and she spot Mickey mouse anywhere!
Dora the Explorer is still a favourite at our house!
I believe the Playhouse Disney shows are a great way for my kids to unwind. You can always count on Disney for quality programs.
My big boy loves Johnny Test and the little one has to be ELMO!!
my little girl luvs Dora the explorer!!
Bugs Bunny and Mickey Mouse are really popular again.
Best memories of family Sunday nights were Disney. Smile
My oldest LOVES Elmo! I think I’ve seen every episode of Elmos’s world ever made…and the song REALLY get’s stuck in your head! Her other favorites are Mickey Mouse and the Imagination Movers. I don’t know what we would do when it’s too hot to go outside if we didn’t have these shows!
The Wiggles all the way with our kids!!
They love Arthur..
george of the jungle
my nephews love anything disney especially the nature ones
My son loves to watch Dinosaur Train and Super Why
Han dy Manny & Spongebob are favorites.
My grandkids like to watch two DVD’s Cars and Lion King (the original)
My grandkids love to watch Cars ( the DVD) or Lion King (DVD).
I have no children but my #1 advisory tip is to get as much education as you can.
I think the best way to prepare your children for the world is to give them a really good foundation and values. Yes, the world is changing everyday, but with the right tools as a base, they can use that knowledge to adapt to any situation. Honesty, hard work, compassion, understanding and knowledge never go out of style.
My son is getting older, but he still has a secret love of Handy Manny ( shhhhh)
My kids liek their TV, but they also turn it off to go play outside without needing to be told.
The world is changing at a very fast pace. I believe that instilling confidence, trust and love in our kids today will greatly help them. Encouraging children from a early age to try things, ask questions and exposing them to all the activities you can, considering your financial situation. Libraries are a great source. Trade outings with family, friends or local communittee activities.
My son’s favourite show is The Simpsons
my kids love tigger!!!!!!!!
The PVR does help us to be more discriminating about what we watch and when. I never need to stay up late now because I can record it for a later time. Sure I used to do this with my VCR, at least at first, but eventually I would run out of tapes or tape over something important like a wedding (ouch).
The PVR makes it so simple and in Hight definitiaon too! Gottaq love hidef! When we watch our sew hours per week wwe are certain that it’s our very best shows.
Both my spouse and I are big readers and we wanted to ensure that our daughter was one too – especially inthis post-literate world! When she was at preschool and up untill junior high, she was limited to 2 hours of TV a day.(didn’t include on line so there was a loop hole). We all sat around after dinner reading together and although I dearly loved to read out loud to her she soon decided that I was too slow and that she was far better off reading to herself.
The result is that she gets top marks in English and reading, so I guess it was worth it! I’d recommend the same to any parent who wants a well rounded reading child.
MY GRANDDAUGHTER LOVES TO WATCH DORA THE EXPLORER BIG FAN
My little one (she’s 19 months old) likes everything “Winnie The Pooh”
My grand daughter loves to watch Sleeping Beauty. She is a wonderful, lovely little girl.
I’m hoping you had a great time and can share the wisdom
My child used to love Blues Clues!!
Sesame Street is a favourite in our house, with Kipper DVDs following close behind.
My daughter LOVES my Friends Tigger and Pooh, with Higglytown not far behind. Its the only channel ever on in my house.
I have two grand-children. One 3yr old boy and one 6yr old girl. They both love Handy Manny and Mickey Mouse Club House.
My daughter loves the Imagination Movers, however lately she is starting to really get into Special Agent OSO and Franny’s Feet.
Its Anything Dora!
just had a newborn so no tv yet.lol
my little granddaughter loves big comfy couch!!
It is totally all about M-I-C-K-E-Y…M-O-U-S-E clubhouse in my house. Everytime the music starts, they jump up from what they are doing and start doing their crazy happy dance! It is so awesome to watch and it makes me laugh so hard some times! My two year old has what looks like spaghetti legs and its hilarious! My 4 year old starts doing handstands! It never gets old!!
Thanks!
(reposted as Blythe12 as the ScarlettF account wasn’t up to date…sorry Christine!)

My little 13 (almost 14!) month old loves Wow Wow Wubzy and he can almost ask for it by name. Before every nap we watch a few minutes to calm down from all the playing. If it’s not Wow Wow, it’s Handy Manny or Yo Gabba Gabba.
My son (and myself) love the Mr. Men series. We used to watch it on tv but can’t find it anymore, so we’re watching some DVDs of it.
We love Mickey Mouse around here although all of playhouse Disney shows are great in our house!
Linda
My daughter’s absolute favourite movie is Sleeping Beauty! Every little girl wants to be a princess π
My son LOVES Mickey Mouse Club House and Sesame Street.
Aaliyah my 3 year old loves Princess and The Frog and Bolt we have watched it a million times. My husband and I have memorized the words LOL!!! We would love to win a Playhouse Disney sampler dvd Thank you!
YOu would so die in my house!! we don’t even have cable, just rabbit ears π but we do get TVO kids and CBC for kids in the morning as well. My daughter loves all cartoons, she really likes Arthur ( i think she is D.W.) Dora and watches all our disney movies over and over…she’s stuck on Snow White right now which is just horrifying to my son..except i see him sneaking smiles while watching it.
Would love to win one of these to get some new shows in the house.
my son loves franklin and little bear
Right now the boys are big time Scooby Doo fans. But they’ve been known to request marathon viewings of Little Einsteins, Super Why, Handy Manny or some others.
My son loves to watch Disney programs such as Handy Mandy and the Mickey Mouse Club, especially when we are driving on long trips in the car. It is so great to have educational programming that keeps his interest long enough to keep watching. This sampler would be great!!!
Katie my 6 year old LOVES Zoey 101, my 4 year old Andie Pandie loves Handy Manny and Beckett my 18 month old does not watch TV but he dances when the Imagination Movers music comes on π
Both my kids will watch Handy Manny and not much else. Daughter is 6 and my son is 4.
Right now, we do not subscribe to TV service. We really play alot of boardgames and work in the garden etc. But when the kids decide to throw on a DVD,
my daughter loves the Barbie movies, especially Swan Lake and Barbie and the Diamond Castle and my son loves Diego, typical children.
Well there are so many shows to choose from. Playhouse Disney, Treehouse or TVO Kids is always on in our house. My youngest loves Strawberry Shortcake and my oldest loves Madeline
My grandson Loves spongebob
I just joined this site and was not sure if I entered this site correctly. I am Bobson W and my user name on this site is p_weezy415. I hope I win. =)
My little Emily loves Tigger and Pooh!
the only show both kids will sit through together right now is mickey mouse clubhouse.
diego is our current favorite.
My 5 year old son’s favourite cartoon is Dora the Explorer, and we are completely fine with that! I feel it is educational and teaches him good values. I feel my son watches “just enough” tv; before bedtime and while I am getting ready for work in the mornings. He is never glued to it and it doesn’t interefere with our daily lives!
Scooby Doo! A timeless classic.
WINNIE THE POOH IS DEFINITELY MY CHILDREN’S FAVORITE!
My neice loves Chicka and Kai-lan. We try to keep her tv time to a minimum, but the shows we do let her watch are of good quality and high in fun and education value. I think my neice would LOVE this DVD. She can probably watch it over and over. This site and article rock. =)
My oldest kiddos love iCarly (it’s a cute little show) while my youngest (2 years) loves anything Dora right now. She’d love this DVD.
Tigger and Pooh is their favourite. I’m amazed that my 4 year old son seems to have memorized all the words to the theme song!
Hi. I have 3 kids. Although one is at the beginning stages of becomming a teenager. I still have 2 small ones that love to watch their cartoons on a Saturday morning. The oldest of the two likes special agent oso, and the youngest loves Mickey Mouse Club House and Handy Manny. Thanks for the chance.
My kids fav. DVD is UP — thanks for the chance to win this:)
My granddaughters love..Mickey Mouse Playhouse
Tigger and Pooh
Anything with Disney Princessess
Wiggles
And I enjoy all of the above along with them.
right now, my youngest son is really into Handy Manny! it does get on your nerves at times, but that happens when you watch any show repeatedly! anyway, thanks for the chance to win a movie for the kids!
Right now, my daughter’s favourite show is Mickey Mouse Clubhouse but it changes all the time!!
My son loves Toopy and Binoo (patchy patch) He is a huge fan of Dora and Thomas The Train
My son loves Chuggington and definitely can’t forget Handy Manny!!
What 6 year old girl isn’t into Hannah Montana! Mine is.
We love the Disney channel, Little Einsteins, Handy Manny. Love to watch her sing and dance along with the shows.
Both my boys ages 4 and 6 love Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Handy Manny and they also like the new show Jungle Junction!
Her fave is Hannah Montana. I don’t even know if that’s coming back again. But she likes the reruns. Miley was better when she was younger. Lol.
My son is 2 on Sunday and my daughter is 4. They both love Dora the explorer, the Little Einsteins DVDs, and any Thomas and Friends episodes. They watch those over and over. My son loves In the Night Garden. He dances whenever the songs come on.
My daughter is now 5 yrs old and what i have noticed over that past 5 yrs is that her favourite shows have changed as with her age. Her favourite to begin with was dora and handy manny. She started loosing interest until our son who is 3 mnts was born and when she watches him she would put on disney playhouse and sing along and interact with him and the television to keep him entertained.
My two children both agree on the following as their favourites: Spongebob Squarepants, Handy Manny, Carebears and Mickey Mouse (of course!)
I loved watching Sesame Street.
My 3 year old daughter loves anything Disney! First thing every morning she asks if she can watch a “DVDV”, right now she is loving Beauty and the Beast and the Lion King which I borrowed from a co-worker with an older daughter. As far as TV, I enjoy Handy Manny…and she loves the Hot Dog dance from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.
my little one is in love with handy manny! and the super sleuths and mickey mouse clubhouse LOL
Dora the Explorer is our favorite
Beauty and the beast!
My friends Tigger and Pooh is one of our favourites! It’s so cute I even like to watch it with them… Thanks for the giveaway.
My two and half year old loves watching Mighty Machines.
M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E! (signing)
Favorite in our house!
spongebob of course!
Can I just say how great it is to see other families allowing their kids to watch tv…and admit it.
I also think it’s great how many of us love Playhouse Disney – but how could we not??
Don’t get me wrong – programming on the other channels is really good too, but PHD is the fave in our house!
I dread the day that my kids stop watching Arthur and Bear in the Big Blue House (MY 2 faves!)
My grandson is really into the Curious George DVD’s right now.
My kids love a lot of the Playhouse Disney shows on the sampler DVD, but our household fav has to be Yo Gabba Gabba!
We even went to the live Yo Gabba Gabba show here in Toronto and splurged on the meet-and-greet package… well worth every penny! DJ Lance Rock is as personable as he seems on TV and seemed genuinely interested in the gushings and fawns of the kiddies (and the kiddies at heart) that were all there.
I grew up in a household that was ok with TV and we all grew up to be normal, fit, healtly, well educated individuals holding top jobs so I have no problem with my kids following the tradition of being TV watchers. My ex husband and his family were always disgusted when I allowed my son to watch his shows and my current beau is not impressed that the kids even have their own TV’s in their rooms (Bought by grandma and grandpa of course.) With a son of 13 and a daughter of 9 they don’t have the same interest in shows. Neither really just sit and watch, they are always playing with something at the same time and my daughter loves Hannah, Wizards and those 2 twin boys (can’t think of their names) and anything with singing and dancing. I don’t get a chance much to watch it myself now, but I used to look forward to catching up on the soaps with mom and I think TV is a god send when you need a sitter so you can get stuff done around the house. Disney Rocks. Ha
They Love Wizards of Waverly Place and Hannah Montana!
My son’s favorite TV shows are Backyardigans, Thomas the Train, Calliou, Little Bear, Franklin, and Dinosaur Train. I would LOVE to have the Playhouse Disney DVDs for him as he’s never seen them before and it would open up a whole new world of entertainment and learning for him. Thank you for the chance to win these! :0)
First of all, I have to say “ditto” to just about everything in your first paragraph…as you can see by my “handle”, we are big TV watchers as well.
As for my 5 & 1/2 year old’s tv habits…she is pretty well over most of the shows on Playhouse Disney but still loves Strawberry Shortcake and Backyardigans (we have ALL the DVDs!!)
Right now her main obsessions are Arthur, Martha Speaks and Magic School Bus…totally old school!!
My son loves handy manny, and thomas and friends!!! π
my kids love play house disney and with all the t.v.’s i have in my house there is playhouse on everyone of them my youngest just loves to watch manny and the tools it has got him wanting to build stuff all the time and special agent oso is another big fav of his he loves watching him alot my 7 year old daughter loves to sing and dance to imagination movers she even tells me what time it’s on everyday all 3 of my kids love to watch mickey mouse club house and do the hot dog dance and help in every show they watch and with them teaching them all the way i have no problems with t.v.’s in there bedrooms so they can watch all there favorite shows all they like they can put a dvd on and watch them over and over again my son even brings his toys out of manny when he watches it and all the tools like philipe and dusty rusty stretch turner flcker when we took him to disney he asked me where is manny tools are they getting into trouble mom he is just way to cute he gets right into everything he watches and learns all the way
My little boy loves Thomas and Friends, Dinosaur Train and Mickey Mouse Club house.. he can watch them over and over.
Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is number 1 in our house! My son wakes up every morning and asks for Mickey!
Hot Dog, Hot Dog, Hot Diggity Dog!
Max and Ruby is #1 at our house!
My girls love the Backyardigans!!
I restrict my son’s TV-watching in large part, but now that his playschool has ended he definitely watches a little more TV in the morning, because it’s pretty much the only way I can get anything done! His favourite two shows are Turbo Dogs (dogs and racecars, what boy could resist?) and Poppetstown; he’s so serious in his love for them that I can’t help but let him watch them! π
Spongebob Squarepants is the norm here. Even the adults get a kick out of the humour!
my kids favorite show is handy manny
M I C K E Y
M O U S E !!!!
Its all about the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse here!
Hot Diggity Dog!!!
My boys are 4yrs old and 2yrs old. They love Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and they ask to watch it every day. They ask to watch it thought out the day.
My kids also probably watch way too much tv according to all the organic food eating, hand sewn clothing making moms out there (especially on a rainy day). They are happy to watch playhouse disney – they love the little songs and dances on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Imagination movers, but to them, nothing beats the old school Pink Panther tv show. So inappropriate at times, but nothing gets the same belly laughs for my kiddos.
My boys love to watch duck tales!
Max & Ruby and Dora win most days — though I’m trying to get the wee one hooked on fraggles!
My boys love spongebob and I’m in the band.
My kids love Hannah Montana and Wizzards of Waverly place!
Calliou and Big&Small
My daughter loves the disney princess’ & for TV shows she loves Waybolou, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse – really anything on Treehouse TV. She pretty much changes daily!!! I just recently found Aristocats & Fox & the Hound for her @ the library & she likes both.
I am ok with TV in moderation as well.
My 7 year old is addicted to all things spongebob. But when my older son isn’t around and it’s ok not to be cool my 4 year old still loves dora, handy manny and little bear.
My daughter’s favourite show of all time is Mickey Mouse Clubhouse! She asks me everyday to watch it so I have to record some so she can watch it “at demand”!
Any DVD of Disney is well loved! 101 Dalmatians is probably #1 I’d say…I have a favourite, too…Rescuers Down Under! π
My son is now old enough to enjoy shows like mythbusters but my girls still ove their disney shows
Right now my twins’ favourite show is Handy Manny. They love watching it in our room in the morning and they always want to play the Handy Manny games on the Playhouse site.
My 5yr old daughter has a new favourite DVD each week. She will want to play the same shows over and over all the time. I think her “always go back to” favourite is probably her Dora disc! I have it memorized word for word π
We are in a spongebob phase right now – both the 3yo and 6yo adore it!
My kids favourite shows are: Handy Manny
Spongebob Squarepants
Inspector Gadget
The Bugs Bunny and Tweety Show
The CareBears
Handy Mandy and Max and Ruby are favourites around our house- my 11 year old really does not enjoy her 5 year old sisters favourites!
My five year old is a movie/tv show addict. She loves watching Bugs Bunny as I purchased a video with around 30 episodes on it. In the evening before bed both my five year old and my two year old watch tv – it’s usually then when my two year old wins out and they watch the Tarzan movie – it’s her favourite – I think that is why she is our little monkey! We don’t have Disney Playhouse tv (although on treehouse tv they do have a few of the shows) , so thanks for the chance to win!
My friends Tigger and Pooh definitely rock at our house!
My daughter adores Playhouse Disney and has even moved to the computer to play the games and print the colouring sheets that are available there. I know its safe and relatively benign so I’m okay with it all. A win-win for sure!
My kids love Bugs Bunny – it makes me smile to hear it in the background while I’m making dinner – I figure the violence didn’t hurt us. My kids are in awe of it (and haven’t tried hitting each other with a anvil yet!)
My daughters LOVE Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. They saw it live at Disneyworld last year and were hooked. I did a Mickey Mouse birthday party for my younger one and she loved it! Many thanks!
My little girl and I love dancing the “Hot Dog” song on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse! She also enjoys all of the shows on the sampler. *I* think it’s cool that Strawberry Shortcake is on again, LOL!
My daughter loves Imagination Movers
The original Winnie the Pooh movie was watched so many times at my house that we had to replace it twice – followed closely by the Original Toy Story movie. My daughter used to pull out a red tshirt, put it on and plop in front of that Pooh movie and watch it over and over – jumping up to sing and dance and knowing each song word for word. A lot of fond memories of her being a toddler surround that movie and how we would dance and sing together!! I will always have a soft spot for Pooh Bear π
She loves to watch Popeye ! always a hit !
My twins LOVE Handy Manny! The funny thing is they ignore the TV unless it is something they like to watch.
MY 2 yr old LOVES Dora. It’s the only thing that will calm her down when we’re driving somewhere. She doesn’t watch much else but Dora is my saviour sometimes. The downside….my 8 yr old (son) hates that the only thing he can watch in the van is Dora when he wants to listen to music.
My kids love all of the shows on Disneys Playhouse but one that stands out is Imagination movers..they love to dance and sing along!
My little guy is a huge handy manny fan! I love the tools personalities especially turner he is grumpy slot headed screwdriver. This show has wonderful life lessons and the music featured in the cartoon is pretty catchy as well!
We are a Fireman Sam, Bob the Builder, Thomas the Tank Engine kind of family. We watch one at 5pm so I can make dinner. Oh, and good old fashioned Sesame Street on a rainy day.
My grandaughter Kimberly loves Tinkerbell !
my kids love Lunar Jim show
My older daughter loves Mulan and my younger daughter can`t live without Barbie and the 3 Muskateers! Thanks for the giveaway!
My youngest loves clifford. I’m not sure what it is about that show but it really keeps his attention when it’s on.
Since our trip to Disney in October 2010, Mickey Mouse Club House has been a hit in our house! My children were so excited to see Mickey and Minnie up close and personal. They’re already planning our next trip!
Handy Manny!
He loves Pat The Hammer lol
Handy Manny is a fav at our house. I like it too! LOL. I find there are many teaching moments when Handy Manny is on, so we are inclined to watch it together.
My boys love Spongebob, Handy Manny and the imagination movers. Lately my 3 year old is hooked on the movers and pretends to be one! He wears his hat backwards when he wants to be called a mover!
My little mans favorite show is “Imagination Movers” he’s become totally in love with it overnight I’m not too sure why however I try not to let him watch too much TV. We go to movies on weekends and watch movies at home as well but not too much cable television!
Sadly, our cable provider only has the Family Channel. I would love it if I had Playhouse Disney all day instead of just a few shows for a couple of hours in the morning. Our favourite show here is Phineus and Ferb. That show is hilarious! I must admit, although it is a secret, that I watch it all by myself sometimes. I don’t even think my 4 year old daughter likes it and I know our 3 month old doesn’t understand the humour. Still, I PVR it and watch everyday. I wonder what shinanigans those boys will get into this summer vacation…. It should make for good TV when the other channels have nothing but reruns and bad “reality” tv… Zoe’s favourite show, not PVR’d (there isn’t enough room with Phineus and Ferb, Grey’s, and other shows), is Mickey Mouse Club House.
I only allow my granddaughter to watch non violent cartoons. She loves Dora.
My daughter is a total Mickey Mouse Clubhouse finatic! I think she actually believes she is Donald Duck – she walks around all day saying “Ah Foey” lol
My kids absolutely LOVE Mickey Mouse Clubhouse!!!! (they even do the hot dog dance when no one is looking)
We love Playhouse Disney as well! Our favorites at the moment are Handy Manny, Special Agent Oso, and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse!!!!
My kids (2 & 4) watch Playhouse Disney all the time. I’m okay with it too. If I want them out of my hair for a half hour I just have to look at the time and call out whichever show is playing at that moment… and Voila! Instant quiet π Their favorites are Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Little Einsteins. I can hear them yelling “Misska, Moosska, Mickey Mouse!” or “Blast Off!” and I know that I have a little time to myself π
My daughter (2), Jamie, and I both love Handy Manny. She likes to sit in front of the TV with her tools and watch. π
We are also a house of TV addicts! TV is our “currency” – the mere threat of no TV usually corrects most bad behavior! Both kids (2 and 4) absolutely LOVE Curious George and could watch it without blinking for hours at a time if I let them. My 22 month old son is just learning to talk and is now demanding “My go downtairs watch TB!” about 100 times each day – pretty funny! As for favorite shows, my 4 year old loves Backyardigans and Peep while our almost 2 year old has a strange obsession with Arthur (??). We unfortunately no longer have Playhouse Disney – we had it as a free trial for a few weeks and the kids were obsessed with every show (especially Wubzy!). They still ask for Mickey Mouse Clubhouse several months later!
I have a special needs son who loves the music when the Wiggles are on. My 22-month-old daughter LOVES Toopy and Binoo, and also Calliou, and My Friends Tigger and Pooh. I like your blog comment: “My kids are tv watchers and I am totally ok with it.”
Toopy and Binoo and In the Night Garden are favourites with the kids.
My daughter loves everything on Playhouse Disney, however, her favourite is Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. When we’re in the car she’ll just start singing the Mickey Mouse song. In September we’re driving to Florida and we’re trying to gather a bunch of Playhouse Disney shows to hopefully keep her entertained for the very long car ride.
Tigger and Pooh are the favourites, but Handy Manny
is right up there too!
My daughter just loves Mickey Mouse CLubhouse…..it’s her favorite. Also, speacial agent oso as well. I PVR these and let her wind down before baths or before we start story time.
My daughter loves Calliou and my little boy loves the Wiggles.
We love Playhouse Disney as well! I have a dayhome so we have a lot of favourites!
Clare (my 6 year old) LOVES Handy Manny
Kenzie (3) loves Tigger and Pooh
Soraya (2.5) loves Dora
Griffin (2) loves Toopy and Binoo as well as anything Elmo
Olivia (21 mos) loves Tigger and Pooh
Brooklyn (21 mos) couldn’t care less about TV as she is busy running at all times
Lindsay (21 mos) loves In the Night Garden
Will (18mos) loves Mighty Machines
Ahnika (8 mos) just loves cuddles with me. π
As for me, my favourite for 10 years now is Bear in the Big Blue House!
Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is my son’s favourite.
The favourite right now is Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.
Kiki is into her Wiggles and Elmo phase.
Connor and Elliot love everything – even Kiki’s Wiggles – but they get most excited over pokemon.
go diego go is the best but dora is cool too
We are quickly becoming a Playhouse Disney family with the morning lineup of:
Handy Manny
Chuggington
Can you teach my alligator manners?
Phineas and Ferb
and some Imagination Movers along the way.
The TV keeps me sane. I’d turn it off, but my kids are actually learning to count and say things from shows like Team Umizoomi and The Wiggles. I love it!
Brodie is going through a total Blue’s Clues kick right now…which is funny for us as its the first show that I remember Tanner getting into that had real talking & he would talk back (after Teletubbies that annoyed the crap out of everyone else that was in the room)….Blue’s Clues is almost like entertainment for all because I admit I enjoy it but so does my 4 year old & even my 12 year old has been busted watching it too…and enjoying it. Now Tanner does have Asperger’s so interests tend to be younger than those of his peers, but he told me that he remembers watching it as a 2 year old (and I don’t doubt it because his memory is amazing & he’s ALWAYS right)
My little guy just loves Calliou!
both my girls love Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, In the Night Garden and they also love Sid the Science kid. Which in total gives me about 1 hour and 15 mins a day to relax and not have run around the house or hear any screaming. Thanks for the contest.
My 2.5 year old daughter loves Max and Ruby, Dora, and Franny’s Feet. I love my PVR too, I keep a steady store of her fav’s on hand when I need to get dinner ready or I need her to settle down for 15 minutes. She is a go go go kid and loves the outdoors, but heck I need to sit down and relax for a few too.
My little guy changes his likes and dislikes daily. But he remains a big fan of Mickey Mouse Playhouse and even plays along with the show. π Thanks for the chance to win!
Darnit! I keep forgetting I’m not Canadian. Boo. π
Anything with the Disney Princesses and the girls are happy!
We don’t have our tv hooked up to watch “tv”. We only use it for DVD’s. My youngest loves Scooby Doo, and Logan is still in the Thomas phase.
The Wiggles are the must see program in our household!
my girls are starting to get into the older disney programmes like hannah and the wizards but if bunnytown is on, everything stops! even my husband and i stop what we’re doing to watch it.
and i love your unabashed love for the tv. it’s kind of refreshing to hear after all the times i hear “i don’t watch tv” π
My Daugher is really into the Curious George DVD’s right now. She watches them during her “quiet time” in the afternoons.
thanks for the contest!
my son likes Pokemon and Spongebob
Sorry, I just left a comment without signing in. Kids love Dora & Dinosaur Train, but also Mickey Mouse, so the dvd would be great.
I think the kids like Dora and Dinosaur Train the most right now. But they do love Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, particularly after a trip to Florida this spring.
We love Dora!!!
Jesse isn’t much of a tv watcher (Ok he is only 21 mths old) but let me tell you there are a few shows that he will stop and watch for 10 – 15 minutes (and that is great for a kid who will not stay still)
I thank god daily for the following shows, because they will give me at least 10 minutes of sanity — not to mention time to sit
Mickey Mouse Playhouse (Also loves to dance along)
In the Night Garden and Waybaloo (Also known as baby crack in our house)
Thanks for the change to win the dvd’s
I say TV is great like all things in moderation — and well lets face it, my hubby and I are TV watchers and it is good cheap entertainment
I never thought I’d have the tv on as much as I do, but what a sanity saver! My highly active child wears out our hyperactive pup. I would watch the clock waiting for his all time, stop everything favourite, the Wiggles, to come on for my half hour of sanity. Now that he’s a little older, the Imagination Movers is the favourite now. Good thing – it is a tolerable show for us and a good education one for him!
Thanks for the opportunity to win dvds – Playhouse Disney rocks!
