I fell in love with Alexander and the Terrible Horrible No Good Very Bad Day when I was working. Then when my daughter was born I introduced her to it – I take it with me when I travel and read it to her over the phone – she has her own copy and reads along with me. She loves the fact that the main character has bad days too! It is now one of the books we give people when they have kids.

I voted Love You Forever, which I had never read until my 2nd. But at an elder cousin’s funeral, who left behind adult children, the son read it. That was the first time I had heard it, long before kids of my own – and so now I REALLY have a hard time not crying as I read it. The son spoke of how his mom asked before she passed, if she had been a good mom.. and he assured us he told her she had been.. and read the story. PS I would have voted GOODNIGHT MOON! That is all time fave, no matter how many times I read it. Also, The Very Hungry Caterpillar

How can you guys like Love You Forever…it’s, by far, the creepiest book to ever be written!

My kids loved so many of these! Everything Sandra Boynton, Dr. Zeuss, and Guess How Much I Love You. When I was a kid one of my favourites was Where the Wild Things are. Great selection!
