I despise tinted moisturizer. I love it in THEORY, and have actually been on the hunt for a good one…well, for years now. It’s just that I’ve never found one that I like, and — no matter the price, brand, or formula — I always find that I either have an orangey tinge, or look like I’m wearing a chalky deathmask. Pretty!
I recently found one that — I think — finally works. Neutrogena’s Ageless Intensives Tone Correcting Tinted Moisture (with SPF 30). I had actually tried (and loved) this moisturizer sans tint a few months back and thought it was fantastic. When I went back to the store for a new bottle, I spotted the tinted version, and decided to give it a whirl. I had, frankly, low expectations, given my past experiences with tinted moisturizer, but since I knew the lotion itself was already great, I was optimistic about the tinted version. Well. This stuff is fantastic. It promises “instant radiance,” and damned if it doesn’t deliver.

It smells great; nice, yet unobtrusive! 🙂
Tali, I found it at Duane Reade!
I live in NYC and can’t find this anywhere! I’ve seen the Ageless Intensive line but never the tinted moisturizer – where do I find it?
Does it smell okay? I recently had a terrible experience with an Aveeno tinted moisturizer. (And I loooooooooove the Aveeno Positively Radiant moisturizer without the tint.) But the tinted one smelled like cat food. It was awful and I have been loathe to try a different kind for fear of the same awful smell problem.
i too have bad experiences with tinted moisturizer – last one was Bobbi Brown. i’m definitely feeling grey these days – going to give this one a try!
“Chalky deathmask.” That’s funny, girl!!
Going to try this asap – this winter has made my face look blah!
