It’s our pleasure to bring you Lynn’s story this week:
I am thrilled to announce that there is a another new “Mom Entrepreneur” in Canada…and despite being a tad fatigued, I am really excited about the possibilities and genuinely hope this product will help many moms with all their good intentions!
I have just launched a new product line of life tools to support women…they’re called Thought Spots and they are tools that help motivate, inspire, teach, praise…and they can be shared! Women, especially moms, can use them for themselves, for their kids, husbands, friends. It’s a totally new concept…simple and effective. Check it out at www.thoughtspots.ca.
In addition, I should tell you a few funny things that made me realize what it’s really like to wear the hat of “mom entrepreneur”. Juggling my “stay-at-home” mom duties with this project was full of interesting and inventive ways to work AND entertain my kids as well. For example, when it came time for me to select the colour palette for my entire product line – which I knew would be critical – I made it into a family activity. My two daughters and I sat down with hundreds of paint colour swatches and did a craft together…little did they know that my “craft” was actually piecing together the 14 colours that have become the foundation for my product look and feel. They created beautiful cut and paste rainbows and flowers, and we all enjoyed some wonderful time together! It was that moment that I realized that it was all out making this project fit with my life and my goals as a mom and as a person.
The second and last tidbit of info is that my kids were testers for the product…I found an office store product that allowed me to somewhat replicate my concept…I created a Thought Spot that said “I love you a wholla buncha!” because my youngest daughter always says “a wholla buncha” when referring to anything – especially how many cookies she wants! It was our little family saying and everyone connected with it. I put it on their mirror that night while they were in bed and the reaction I received in the morning when they discovered it was priceless…there were smiles all around that morning and I knew then that Thought Spots could help other moms create smiles too!

This is truly a great idea. I have a couple of friends going through nasty divorces and think the encouragements could really cheer them up.

I just received my first Thought Spot from a new friend last week. I love it. It is on my bathroom mirror and says, “I am grateful for…”
Being a fellow mompreneur, I want to remember everyone who is supporting and encouraging me on this journey.
Great idea!!
