I’m a drunk dancer. If I’m sober – there is no WAY you’d get me on the dance floor – except for slow dancing. I looove to slow dance. If I could go through my life slow dancing through every day, I’d do it. But getting down and boogey’ing…have to be loaded. Unless I’m with Will…who wants to dance all the time. He has a new bestie in Leo Sayer…who of course duets with the Wiggles…why not!
Prepare to be pained…
Now…my dancing tune? Don’t we all have one? You know that one song that you hear and you can’t stay in your chair. Mine’s weird…give me a break. It’s Gin and Juice – and not by Snoop…I like the country version…it’s The Gourds. I can close my eyes and picture multiple, multiple dance parties with my friends where we all just get up and go crazy to this song…and it makes me smile to think of it. Big Time. It reminds me that I didn’t always spend my nights in warfare with a two year old. Take a listen and TELL ME you’re not moving in your seat! Then tell me – What is your favourite tune to dance to??

I dance to pretty much everything. Any rump-shaking song will do… dancing it just the BEST thing there is sometimes!!

Another one: Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrison. If you get Jen and me on the same dance floor when that one comes on, watch out!

Love the picture of Will….so cute.
Mine is Home for a Rest by Spirit of the West. I cannot sit down is that song comes on, I love it!

P.S. Still like to dance to that one…and it still makes me horny! Go figure…

the Beatles “Michelle”. First “mixed” party in Grade 6. Slow danced with this cute blonde guy I had a serious crush on. First time I remember feeling horny. Every time I hear it, I’m transported back. Oh, and we even played “Spin The Bottle”…holy frig, am I ever old!

I used to be a lot less discerning with what got me up on the dance floor (or who got me up on the dance floor, for that matter), but these days any old school Madonna is bound to have me busting a move. My personal favourite is “Express Yourself” (which technically is nowhere near old school Madonna, but given the length of her career it’s moving into the older years).
