So my sister offered to take Will for a bit so I could go away on a little vacation. Yes, I know, she’s awesome. My initial response was no. My mood of late doesn’t have to do with needing a break from Will but more about needing to learn how to live with him. I also said I couldn’t afford it – then I started thinking – can I afford not to?
The problem is going to an all inclusive by yourself – you have to pay so much extra….so anyone want to come to Cuba with me for 5 days?? The last time I took a vacation by myself, was when I went to Maine. It was heavenly to say the least. Every morning, I’d get up and go for a massive walk on the beach with my iPod to grab the papers, then walk back and read them all (god, to think of that now seems so decadent). I’d play this song on repeat for a lot of my walk. It’s so freaking CATCHY!
It’s Mr. E’s Beautiful Blues by the Eels. I found it on a mixed cd called ‘Lanthier’s Houswarming’ that my friend Wonger made for me ten years ago. Wonger is one of a group of guys that I know who ALL call me by my last name. I love it for some reason. I even ‘dated’ one of them and I’m not sure I ever heard him call me Sara. …..but I digress majorly…..
