Sara says
Sadly…haven’t heard of too many! But my god – I want to see the Year Dolly Parton was my mom!!! Love. And I’ll do anything for Scott Speedman…i’m just saying!
Racheal says
Because we don’t have a star system in English Canada, people don’t get excited, let alone the media. It’s a vicious circle. If we made stars, we’d have the attention, but we can’t have stars unless we can get the attention in the first place.
And the sad thing is, there are some really great films in there.
That being said, I don’t know if you remember me writing about the Canadian film makers during TIFF. They were so blase, so bored really, about having to be on a panel, I literally wanted to shake them by the shoulders & remind them that this is the place to show off and be proud, not to sulk.
Racheal says
I adore Kevin too. Just wait till you see the interview I did with him! We talked about everything from theatre school, to handling media, to playing baddies to scrambling eggs on “Lost”.
Julie says
i’ve always had a soft spot for kevin durand…i think he’s my canadian willem dafoe…can be creepy, can be extremely hot! 😉
Tracey says
Hardly a one… with the exception of “Funkytown” which I’ve seen, and my friend, Kim Richardson co-wrote the lyrics for “Waiting For Your Touch.” Tres cool! Nice to see so much French talent in the lineup… but I haven’t seen a single other of the films listed here. I don’t know what that says about me. Or about the Canadian film industry. Hmmmm…
