It’s not just a trend but a lifestyle change for many. The Urban Cyclist is taking over the cities around the world. Make sense right? There are too many cars in the city streets not just here in Toronto but also in Rome, Paris, New York and the UK. It’s no longer considered a “granola” means of getting from A to B. This shift of gears is a lifestyle that is here to stay.
While it’s probably not going to completely take over our lives and our needs for getting the kid’s hockey gear to the arena, but there are definitely advantage at the right time and place. I know of a few UBER COOL & HIP DADS who take their bikes to work and not just for pleasure. And these guys GOT STYLE. Have you noticed? Damn they look good!
H&M announces it’s latest collection for Brick Lane Bikes of East London – a men’s collection inspired by the urban cycling scene. The collection combines the function of cycling wear with city style. The collection has been designed by H&M and has the seal of approval by Brick Lane Bikes, one of the world’s leading custom bike specialists.
Inspired by both vintage pieces and today’s sport performance, the clothing collection is made from more sustainable materials as part of H&M’s Conscious work.
Available Spring – March 2013.
BTW…news also just came out from H&M. Starting in February 2013 the global fashion retailer will be collecting old clothes and recycling them becoming the first fashion company to launch a clothing recycling collection initiative worldwide. In all 48 markets customers will be able to bring in any unwanted clothes (in any condition) to the stores. The collected clothes will be handled by I:Collect who would repurpose or recycle the clothes. Customers who bring in used clothing will receive discount vouchers in return! This new initiative is part of the H&M Conscious Program
