Urbanmoms asked soap star Susan Haskell and Olympian Catriona Le May Doan what THEY do with their families to “keep to the beat” and stay heart healthy?
“As a family, we do a fun physical activity each day and we talk about the importance of having fruit and vegetables on a daily basis!” says Catriona.
“Keeping heart healthy as a family starts first thing with morning cuddles. Sounds corny I know but it helps you BREATHE, connect and start the day off right. It often moves to the girls dancing and singing to a tune picked out by dad! We dance a lot. Good healthy fruit and veggies are always out and as available as cookies. They see us exercise daily. I love Bikram yoga and we have a gym in the house. We are ALWAYS active as a family…bike riding, hiking, swimming. My girls know balance is key. Lots of popcorn wtih the move after a good long walk! Make it fun and set a good example!” says Susan.
Canadians are invited to view the excitment via a LIVESTREAMING of the show on March 8th at 8:00 pm EST. on the website at www.thehearttruth.ca/livefashionshow
