As I’ve mentioned, the past couple of months have been characterized by intense nesting. I went a bit nuts at Ikea, and have been busily setting to tasks in my home that have long been on hold. We moved in to our current house 3.5 years ago, and it seemed like we were still partially living out of boxes. Here are few of the things that I managed to get done recently with the some time off work and the help of late pregnancy hormones!
Our living room was largely unfurnished for nearly three years. After purchasing some gorgeous pieces by Sarah Richardson (purchased at Hollace Cluny, one of my favourite stores in the city) last fall, I finally got some throw cushions and plants to complete the room:
After spending months with toys strewn all over our family room, it was apparent that we needed some sort of system to organise the kids’ rapidly expanding pile of stuff. A trip to Ikea solved our problems, and now all the toys are stored neatly in our new Bonde unit!
Just implementing these little changes and getting more organised has been such a source of satisfaction! Next on my list is remembering how to assemble the Pack ‘n Play, and packing a bag for the hospital!

Looks great Amreen! Wow, is it time to pack for the hospital already? 9 months really flies by when it’s somebody else’s pregnancy!
