I have a pair of boots with which I am madly in love. The thing is, other people are too, by which I mean, I am frequently stopped in the street to discuss them. “Where did you get them?! I love them! Are they still around?”
The boots are Ciao Bella’s “Toni” flat leather riding boots, and yes, they are!
I purchased them about a year ago in the caramel shade, on sale for about $100. Rarely have I been this happy with a purchase. They zip up the back (so no awkward stuffing-of-pants-into them involved) and they just look GOOD. They work fantastically well with skinny jeans, but are nice enough for the office too, with tights and a skirt.
They’ve been such a winter wardrobe staple that I looked for (and was thrilled to find) them in black this winter, and I promptly scooped them up.
A quick look around Google shows they’re still very much available, and I can’t recommend either shade them enough.

Yup, I’m with Nancy on this one. i’ve bought myself a couple of pairs of gorgeous fashion boots this year, and I’ve resorted on occasion to carrying them to work in a big bag while wearing my warm and cozy (but short on fashion) Cougar boots for the commute.
When exactly is fashion boot season?, because here in Toronto it feels like we go from sandals to mukluks and back again.

Lovely. I always find totally flat boots make my legs tired- not so? NYC chic is tough at times in Toronto salt and snow catastrophe. I am guessing there are shoulder season boots?

and just where were you a couple of months ago when I bought a pair of flat knee high boots, which in retrospect are ill fitting…
I’m going to have to try to locate some of these.
