This past weekend the weather was beyond perfect.
I was thankful for that forecast but I was so afraid that we would be stuck inside an arena. Our town hosts a Thanksgiving weekend tournament every year. Which is great not having to travel, but not so great when you have 6 games in one weekend when the weather forecast is as above.
I spent the time that I wasn’t in the arena outside. Watching the other 2 play outside. Ride bikes. Bounce balls. Hop hopscotch.
We also spent most of the day Saturday doing this:
Thankful that my friend’s pool company can’t close their pool til the 20th.
Sunday we spent the day at the in laws scarfing down turkey, ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, pie and ice cream. Thankful for full bellies and empty plates. And a table surrounded by family.
Monday we had planned to spend inside purging the house of the crap toys, broken toys, old toys, annoying toys.
We didn’t get rid of one toy. Instead we spent the entire day outside. Together.
I am thankful for that.
How was your Thanksgiving weekend?

honestly, you have many poolside shots – no wonder I thought it was in your back yard – I just love it- the idea that you might just be sipping something poolside and relaxing every now and then is so good!!!! Keep nice friend with pool in good books.
I swam in Lake Simcoe. VERY cold.Went on hike with my chickies. Ate much turkey.
Loved the weather- made me feel a little like I wish summer was not over yet!

We’ve had lovely weather here for the last few days: not hot like Southern ON, but beautiful fall weather. The leaves are all gloriously orange and yellow and drifting down from the trees. The temps have been in the low teens: just cool enough to know it’s fall, but not so cold you need to break out the woolies quite yet.
Having said that, I spent the first two days of the weekend indoors at West Edmonton Mall with my girls. But we had a great time, so it was worth it 🙂

We had wonderful weather, too. Good times with family, too much good food, and lots of time relaxing together. It was perfect 🙂 So glad you had a good weekend, too!

We’ve had this glorious weather for the past three thanksgivings! It’s awesome. And then it snows the following weekend.
Most of us swam in the lake this weekend…when I say swam, I mean jumped in, screamed, rushed back to shore and then did it all over again. It rocked!
Alas, I didn’t get a picture of me in the water, but there are pics of others.
Glad you had a great a weekend.
