Quickie post…gotta run & pick up my oldest and 4 of her friends in a few for an after-school Christmas party, but I just had to share.
I just had THE MOST fun with my 4.5 year-old, making an angel food cake and whipped shortbread cookies.
She brought down her mini-ghetto blaster from her room and blasted out Mini-Pop Kids 3 at full volume, while we both danced like mad around the kitchen. I mean, who could resist The Jackson Five’s ABC sung by 10-year olds?
We bopped, she pressed the buttons on the Kitchen Aid, and we made the edibles for this afternoon’s parTAY. She giggled her head off at the sight of a (slightly burned) angel food cake cooling upside-down suspended over the neck of a wine bottle, and I giggled my head off at the sight of her dancing to the Mini-Pops version of Tom Cochrane’s Life is a Highway.
We licked the spatula together:
I almost licked the dough off her nose, then thought better of it, LOL.

Awwwww. You two are too cute!

I love the dancing images. The Gaffer likes to have dance parties in her room, but she is still only into Disney and Johnny Cash.

What a wonderful story. Reminds us that it is the simple moments that make us so happy.
