Did the first taste of spring-like weather have you opening your windows to let some fresh air into your homes? I love the fresh, cool air that spring brings in, but unfortunately it came with the reminder that my windows are suffering from some ugly post-winter grime.
These days we’re all looking for ways to clean our household (including windows) without using harsh chemicals. That’s why I was thrilled to try Clorox Green Works, a natural solution for spring cleaning. These products deliver the power you’d expect from The Clorox name, but are made with plant and mineral-based biodegradable cleaning ingredients.
Here are my tips to make your home feel a little more spring-y.
First, open your windows, and use the Green Works Natural Glass Cleaner. It’s safe for glass, mirrors, appliances and stainless steel and is ammonia-free. Instead of using a ton of paper towels, do the earth a favour and use a sponge to wipe and a squeegee to dry. Put your kids in charge of doors and windows within their reach.
Second, Green Works Natural Cleaning Wipes are great for wiping all counter tops in your kitchen and bathroom. Again, hand them to your kids to do the cupboards at their eye-level. I also give them an old sock to dust!
Now, go find yourself a big, beautiful bouquet of spring flowers. The sight of those in your home will distract you from the months of clutter that have accumulated throughout your home (oh wait…is it just me who is still finding notes welcoming the kids back to school tucked in corners of the family room?)
There’s a whole line of Clorox Green Works products available across Canada in grocery and drug stores, and the prices start at just $2.97, so they’re really no more expensive than what we’re used to.

I LOVE GreenWorks products! They are all I use in my house. They work and they small great!
I have yet to try the laundry detergent – it’s too expensive for me plus I’m kind of stuck on what I’ve been using forever…
