Iphone is a “smart phone”.
I want to know exactly when this phone is going to
make me smart? I have had it for 2 weeks now and don’t feel anymore productive or
ummmm smart. If anything I am becoming more distracted by the bloody thing. But
did I mention that it is cool?.
Since having my second child I think my
ability to speak, think and accomplish much is greatly impacted by my “baby
brain” which seems to get worse with every child I bare.
My mom friends tell me that by the
time my youngest is three it will start to get better again. These sources tell me that I will be able to finish a
thought or a sentence without wondering half way through what the hell I was speaking about.
Also, I average only about 6 hours or so of sleep a night. My baby
boy wakes up before 6 am everyday. My oldest is a spirited child which means
he is always demanding my attention and asks lots of questions. He is smarter
than me but he doesn’t have a smart phone.
When I finally do have a minute to myself I am stuck doing the following:
a)
Catching up with work
b) Catching up with house work I never do anymore
c) Playing with my Iphone when I should be
doing one of the above.
So mom friends……. do you have an smart
phone?
Has it changed your life? Made it better?
Do you feel more
efficient or MORE distracted?
Inquiring minds (like me) want to
know!

Glad to hear it ladies!!! Jen- I have to admit that it was you who got me thinking I needed an Iphone – you seemed to be utilizing it so well.
I love the GPS thing too and the compass since I am directionally challenged!
The Iphone is tops for twitter, facebook and email. It makes it almost addictive! ha
I have all my email accounts setup and find I check my emails from the Iphone verus logging into my home system. With the wireless built in I am not wasting my data time either.
Iphone is ruling my world these days – no doubt about it!

I LOVE my iPhone! Where do I start? It is so intuitive and everything just makes so much sense. If my kids are bored? The many game apps keep them busy. The GPS and map app is a godsend. The iPod keeps us rockin. And my Starbucks app means I can find my latte anywhere, anytime. I heart you iPhone!

Comments from Facebook book of the Moms weighing in:
Julie – I love mine…and yes, I think I am actually smarter…ha, I am so organized now that I have time to pay attention to other things..like, say, my kids for example. Try a few fun applications, Shazam is cool and a great party trick. And I have downloaded a couple for my kids to keep them busy while waiting in a doctor’s office. I LOVE mine!
Leigh -l I will keep Shazam in mind – good tip about the Doc office. Would you mind leaving your awesome comments on my blog?????

Shelley M I agree about Shazaam…soooo many times I’ve heard an old song and didn’t know who sang it and it ‘listens’ to a portion of the song and comes up with song title, group or artist. Totally my fave app. And just having access to YouTube is great – I can pull up a portion of a Yo Gabba Gabba cartoon and Chloe sits quietly and watches it when we’re … See moreat appointments or wherever. She also really enjoys flipping through all my pictures on there and she can play the videos all by herself. Keeps her amused for sure and then she gets mad when I take it away! ha ha

This is coming from a former BlackBerry turned I phone user. I agree you can save or waste your time with it, but it definitely helps me staying organized: appointments, contacts, notes, to do lists, I keep it all on my smart phone and sync it with my computer. I downloaded all kinds of apps, ranging from indispensable (where to find the nearest Starbucks!) to not using my time productively (Tetris). I use the camera function and video feature, the i pod, internet browser and email client… it’s my mini computer on the go. Did I mention it also keeps my kids happy? Overall rating: I love my smart phone!
