Oops, was I ever OFF predicting a FAB show for the VMA’s…. Freaking BOMB. That show was TERRIBLE. Disjointed. Disappointing. Boring. All that. And, I know this is all old news by now, but BRITNEY! I mean, BRITNEY! Could she have been more awful! There is a rumour that she meant to be that awful, and we’ll get into it later, but I don’t by it. What else: BRITNEY BRITNEY BRITNEY; MISCHA BARTON’S worst fashion miss EVAH; ROB LOWE; KANYE WEST; and, more!

BRITNEY BOMBS AT THE VMA’S

If you didn’t see it Sunday night, you won’t believe just HOW BAD it was. So, here’s a vid! This video also has Sarah Silverman’s opening speech, which was VERY anti-Britney…. Check it:

See, there are really no words for Brit’s performance, right? Although, the words sloppy, lazy, drunk, pathetically under-dressed, brutal and ewww to mind…. And, how fun is it to watch the stars’ reactions in the audience…. Of course, poor Britney — she’s so dunzo in so many ways. And, I’m thinking people who care about her should be more worried than usual now….

And, how ’bout Sarah Silverman? Did you think she was too harsh on an already-struggling Britney? Was she unfair to Brit’s kids? Was she any good? To me, she can just stand there and be funny. I love how wacky she is. But, I don’t think she needed to, i.e., call Brit’s kids "beautiful accidents"…. That’s mean…. But, her reenactment of Britney’s bare vagigi was pretty dang classic!

Actually, one of the rumours circulating around this whole thing is that Brit heard that Sarah Silverman was going to say some nasty things about her kiddies, so she bombed on purpose. And, to that, I say NO WAY. The girl is WAY too embarrassed about her performance, and how would bombing it on purpose serve Britney in ANY way. Besides, apparently, not even MTV knew what Sarah was going to say.

Another rumour surrounding the HORRENDOUS performance claims that Brit was too nervous. That there was so much on the line. If that’s so, then WHY DID YOU AGREE TO DO THIS IN THE FIRST PLACE?

Another rumour (which has by now pretty-much been confirmed) has it that Brit wasn’t supposed to wear the silly bikini alone. There was a matching corset included (and insisted upon by MTV) that Brit nixed last minute — go girl.

Rehearsals were apparently as lackadaisical as the performance itself — with Brit Brit appearing and bailing whenever she pleased, margaritas in hand, refusing to dance full-out, etc., etc.:

She didn’t even get to Las Vegas until 4.30pm. It was ridiculous.
The production people at MTV were freaking out…. Nobody can tell Britney what to do anymore. No one can control her.
She is a mess. She went to her hotel room and ordered a bunch of food
and some frozen margaritas. She came down, like, an hour later with a
frozen margarita in her hand.

The dance number was spectacular – without her. When the stand-in
was rehearsing with the dancers in the hours they were all waiting for
her, it was amazing. Then Britney showed up and refused to do anything.
The dancers were supposed to lift and twist her in the air a few times,
and that just wasn’t going to happen. The more complicated dance moves
had to be erased because she couldn’t do them. The dancers were texting
pals, asking them to pray for them. They were worried.

After Spears performed at the VMAs, she allegedly broke down in tears
but then partied until 3 a.m. She changed outfits several times and
again was photographed by paparazzi wearing no underwear. (qtd. from The New York Post)

On the other side of the coin, MOREOVER, Kanye West is pissed at MTV for doing this to Britney. He feels they exploited her for publicity by putting her in this position in the first place.

BUT, he was maybe just a little bitter about MTV and the VMAs…:

…. SoOOoooOOOoo, not sure if we should listen to him blame MTV for Brit’s mistakes. They were giving Britney a chance. And, she blew it ROYAL.

What a completely WORSE-THAN-EXPECTED (and I thought I’d expected the worst…) disaster…. What do you think about all this, Gorgeouses?

And, can you believe she DID IT AGAIN. She flashed the paps AGAIN on her way to the Bellagio Hotel, and drowned all her troubles in booze and party…:

Oops! But, probably not so oops. But, most definitely sad.

WHAT’S WRONG WITH MISCHA, NOW SERIOUSLY?

(Warning: this item may contain coarse language….) Are those…sequins? And, is that…a nipple slip? Nipple slip and sequins? And, WTF colours are on that dress. And, who the H thought that colour combo looked like anything other than VOMIT. And, what’s with the mesh through which nipple and knees are peeking? BRUTAL. What was Mischa thinking? This isn’t only uggers, it’s FUGGERS! (You MUST click to enlarge this — there’s no other word than FUGGERS for this dress….)

JENNIFER HUDSON TO JOIN THE SEX AND THE CITY CAST

It’s true, Gorgeouses! Jennifer Hudson’s going to play the role of Carrie Bradshaw’s assistant in the upcoming Sex and the City movie (filming starts Sept. 19). Chris Noth will be reprising his role as Mr. Big, too. This movie’s going to be nothing short of AWESOME. And, hmmm…. Why does Carrie need an assistant…? Curious…. Very curious.

BIG BROTHER TALK TOMORROW (THURSDAY’S POST — wouldn’t want to spoil it!!!) But, DID YOU LOVE IT? ARE YOU HAPPY? WHO ARE YOU HOPING WILL GET TO THE FINAL TWO?

And WHAT is boring Adrian’s big secret on THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS? Has this show ALWAYS been so obvious about what’s going to happen next? Adrian talking to the new D.A. lawyer girl with a song in the background going "everybody’s got a secret…." Something about the girl who committed suicide at his old university…. He sooo killed her.
