so, it seems that Sandra Bullock has been nominated for TWO Golden Globes this year. The first is for her role in The Proposal, a movie I would only see if it was on HBO and that’s only because Ryan Reynolds is in it. The second is for her role in The Blind Side…which I hear lovely, lovely things about and that SB is actually even decent in it, but, still, to ME..girl just does not have award-worthy acting chops. I am sure she is good in the movie, for HER. We are used to seeing her in what she called, I believe, ROMCOMS. So, just because this is the best she can do, doesn’t mean it’s better than what many other fine actresses have done this year.
She is not a great comedic actress. She is pretty cliche, I think. Frances McDormand? GREAT COMEDIC ACTRESS. and really? Dramatic actresses? Don’t get me started. please.
Anyway, what do you think? Love her? Hate her?
Razzies nominated ” New Moon ” and Sandra Bullock for worst mobie of 2009. I absolutely don’t agree and wonder how they judge that?
OK, I love Sandra!! Sad but true- I think she’s great at what she does (fluffy, girly movies)…That being said, I haven’t seen The Blind Side, so I can’t comment on that one.
But I agree, she might be good for HER, but she’s not an Oscar-worthy actress from what I’ve seen.
I’ve always been a bit iffy on Sandy but after seeing an interview with the real Leanne Tuohy and then going to see the movie I was really surprised. She was excellent.
