wow. well, the SAG awards were great last night…and NOT just because my personal fave, Sean Penn, took home the Best Actor actor, and not just because he said: "I noticed that the two statues have rather healthy packages." LOVE. and not just because the most uncomfortable moment of the night was probably when Claire Danes read Mary -Louise Parker's name (if you'll remember, Parker was 7-months pregnant with Billy Crudup's baby when he left her for Danes. OUCH) and not just because Jane Krakowski jabbed Calista Flockhart by announcing that the cast of 30-Rock is "a thousand times heavier"
haha.
my only issue with the awards show, actually, is that i was COMPLETELY and TOTALLY underwhelmed by the dresses. seriously. everyone sort of just missed the mark…
I so desperately wanted to like Angelina's dress…but it was way too, well, dumpy
i so desperately wanted to like Tina Fey's dress, but, um, Tina, seriously? she needs a dress that makes her look SEXY, not a dress that makes her look like like a tomboy.
i so desperately wanted to like Claire's dress…but her posture! it kills me! and her chest! she needs a dress that creates the look of cleavage..a push up something or other around her chest.
i so desperately wanted to like Kate's dress…the color was PERFECT.her boobs were perfect. but the dress seemed a little, erm, tight to me…and it was not a flattering cut for her body. and the hair? it made her look like a little boy.
i so desperately wanted to like Amy's dress, but i just couldn't. the top was completely NOT flattering and the lipstick was completely the wrong shade.
i so desperately wanted to like Emily's dress…but there was just NOTHING right about this one.
i so desperately wanted to like Eva's dress…but it looks like she's a bridesmaids in wedding. in the 80's. also…i'm pretty sure she's worn this color before.
so, these are my picks for best dressed…
…and i STILL don't feel all that great about them. i hope we see some more flattering looks at the Oscars!

And why is it so many women who wear strappy gowns look like they’re walking around with their shoulders raised – holding it up or something like that? You can totally see it in Emily’s picture.

I LOVED Angelina’s dress. Not a lot of people could pull it off. But, she really did. I knew I’d be the only one to love it…. But, still. LOVED it.
HATED Amy Adams dress. So desperately wanted to love it. But, HATED IT.
