What’s cooler than a mom in a minivan?
Five moms in a minivan!
This past weekend we loaded up the Dodge Grand Caravan for an epic road trip to a weekend retreat with some of my closest girlfriends. We found more than enough room to squeeze in our 13 suitcases and dozens of bags of snacks and cameras and sleeping bags and 56 different outfit options. The ride was smooth and fast as we left our kids behind, looking forward to a little getaway together, filled with time to let loose, recharge and rest.
The van was a hit with all the ladies and everyone was oohing and ahhing over all the features like the GPS, satellite radio, the camera system that comes on when you back up so you don’t crash into things in the parking lot, and the doors and trunk that open with the touch of a button. I think everyone had van envy. Vanvy? Yes.
We made good time arriving at the resort and had a beautiful weekend. When it was time to head home, we all hopped in the van and the girls raved about how great it was being passengers. It was comfortable and easy to make sure their own personal temperature needs were taken care of, and the seats were adjustable so they could find the perfect setting for a swell ride home.

Bought a cottage last year, the Dodge Grand Caravan would have been great for moving my stuff to the cottage and also moving the stuff out of the cottage to the dump that was left by the previous owners. Definitely, would have cut down on time.

We could use it to carry all our kids, luggage and presents when we drive to Texas for Christmas! We love our Dodge Caravan, but would love even more to have a newer one with all the bells and whistles!
Tooth Fairy says
Lots of room to move boxes and inventory from spot to spot! ☺ So it’s really fantastic for business too. Family outings, camping, sports gear the possibilities are endless! But the getaway with the girls is definately most appealing!!

Vans are the best!! Your 14 year old may not think it is cool, until you fit all 6 of his friends in it for football!! I will use the money for car pooling!!

I used to have an older station wagon which could actually fit a full piece of lumber in the back. I could go to the city once a month and do ALL the grocery shopping and not have to stuff things in the front seat. As well, when we go to the city, we’d all get to go, instead of just two of us, as right now I am using my sons car (my station wagon had to be retired LOL)

I would load my son, his wife and my dog in the Dodge Grand Caravan along with my two best friends. We could each take 2 bags of luggage each, two large coolers (filled with goodies), a bbq, safety equipment, a first aid kit (a large one), the dog’s bed, my favourite pillow and blanket, some extra pillows for the ladies to use on the drive so they will be comfortable. This would be great!
Glogirl says
We could fit the whole family in this van with lots of room for extra bags etc. We would all be very comfortable I’m sure!
debbie f says
I would use it for a camping trip and this time there would be room for my 13 year old daughter and niece and all their luggage and stuff. Who would have thought that two 13 year olds could pack so much stuff for a few days away.

I have a Dodge Grand Caravan and take FULL advantage of the storage everyday! I stow and go one of the seats to deliver cakes and treats, I can pick up 6 of my coupon girls and still have room for all our bags of stuff we got cheap! I can have my kids in the van and bring home 3 fish tanks from a garage sale. I LOVE LOVE the space in this van.

Omg! With the stroller, the bags, the playpen/bed, we just discovered how much space a small baby takes! So it would be used to its full capacity!

I might actually go camping with my husband and daughter… I don’t like to sleep in a tent and we don’t have a trailer, but it seems like I would enjoy sleeping and travelling in this minivan!

Well, I already DID take advantage of the abundance of space in your minivan! Umm… I would fill it with an embarassingly large suitcase, sleeping bag and giant foamie. 🙂

We can fit all our luggage/sleeping stuff for the five of us in the trunk, without having to have any of it up by the seats. AND I can still see out the back window. It is SO FABULOUS. I love this van.

I’d fill it with balloons for a birthday party!
