reward (and punishment)

Do you do this too?

You play this game with yourself- if I do this I get that.
Lately I have started getting up an hour earlier because my younger daughter is trying rowing out. I vaguely recall saying that was a great idea.
So my day starts at 5.There are breakfasts and lunches ( yes they could make for themselves but for me this is a way to show love and support),  and two trips to the school, there are dishes and emails to return, my bed to make, pay those pesky bills, trip to gym, folding of laundry, sweep floor, wipe counters, making of the day’s list, a little yoga maybe, a shower and the putting on of something favourite (oh that is a treat too- I love getting dressed. The art of being girl? The best.) .
By 8 or so I deserve a treat.
My reward is to sit at my desk, in my new family room with the weather announcing itself through my beautiful wall of window. The coffee is hot and strong and I have a big glass of water with lemon.
The room is silent.
The day stands in front of me.
I love this time. And it is sweeter because of what I do before this.
This is when I  write to you.

Please tell me about your rewards. What are they and what makes you deserve them?

I’d like to reward myself by sitting in your awesome new room…I love it so much.
Coffee is my morning reward too. I take my first sip when we get the car to drive to daycare. Made it through the worst time of the day…the morning routine with a toddler.

I reward myself everyday with a store brewed coffee, I can make it at home, but it never tastes as good to me. My mornings are no where what yours are….but I have convinced myself that I deserve it, and I am good with that!! Enjoy!!

When I started running I would reward myself with a coffee afterward, though now I don’t need that. Sometimes, getting through a day will earn me a glass of wine, or a couple of squares of my favourite chocolate. Sometimes, when I need to clean or write, the carrot is the right to sit and watch tv until my brains leak out my ears.

Wow…makes me want to make up earlier, too. Except I already get up at six!
My reward lately has been buying clothes…what I do to earn it? Lose weight! So far, so good 🙂

Superb woman. I wish I would wake up even at six. Maybe when I get back I can finally commit.
