Okay. So it certainly hasn’t been easy, but ya sure can’t complain about the results. Here’s how things stand for me so far in my Isagenix cleanse journey, after 3 pre-cleanse days and 2 cleanse days:
Total inches lost: 6.75 (1.5 from my waist!)
Total pounds lost: 5.6
And Hubster! The Hubster ROCKS the Isagenix program! Check him out:
Total inches lost: 9.5
Total pounds lost: 14 (yes, you read that right: FOURTEEN POUNDS. ONE-FOUR.)
Today was a bit harder than yesterday, actually, although I did have a lot more energy (after my first shake, that is). Jen, Hubster and I were talking, and we wondered if it might have been something to do with that one meal you’re allowed to have on shake days. And that one meal reminds you of how good actually eating really is. So you find yourself more tempted to eat – well, more.
I got home from an afternoon of errands to a voicemail from Jen, looking for a little moral support. Her husband had cooked tacos for himself and the kids, and she, well, she had a shake for dinner. I know the feeling…I’ve been cooking for my kids all through this journey. Trust me: nothing is harder than smelling waffles in the morning when you’re hungry and you know you can’t even have one little bite. Even thinking about it now is difficult.
The real challenge, though, is going to be Sunday. That’s our day to head out to Sunshine Village for the kids’ ski club, and ergo, Mom & Dad’s ski date day. We’re planning on a shake for breakfast, another shake for lunch, and a homemade 400-600 calorie dinner. I’m just worried that a six-hour day of cold, fresh air and physical activity, combined with a 2 hour drive home (bo-ring) will drive us to distraction. Maybe I’ll just bring along 4 or 6 almonds and go to town! JOKING!
Wish us luck!

Congrats to both of you! That’s a great job. I managed to lose 17 pounds during first two weeks of the diet plan that my wife ordered for us 🙂
And for the hunger issue on the way – I was told to try some low-fat instant milk (dry). A small teaspoon of it should do. It works for me when I have to stay longer in the office and cannot wait for a good dinner.
All the best for you!
Luke

Wow!!!!!! That is incredible. You are both doing amazing and I imagine results like that help motivate, especially after feeling crappy with you cold. Keep it up.
