And here are some RED CARPET insider beauty tips!
Celebrities always look perfect on the red carpet. Well, you know they are just like you and me…they don’t wake up looking camera ready! But here are some tips revealed and just in time for red carpet season here! I’m heading out to report on the Film Festival and I won’t have time to worry about my makeup holding up. So, I learned a few things recently from Lori Taylor, Global Pro Lead Artist for Smashbox so we can both look our best in ANY photo — yeah, even the one on Facebook! Time for an update don’t you think?
PRIMER
“A must have for fresher looking makeup,” says Taylor. And if you have dark spots Lori suggests Smashbox’s new More Than Primer Dark Spot Correcting ($50). It is great as a base to get skin in tip top shape for long days.
CONCEALER
Ah…my best friend! Especially since I start my days early to get the kids off to school then off to TIFF and usually going well into the night for two weeks. Ever see bags under my eyes? Lori recommended Smashbox’s Hydrating Under Eye Primer ($32). “It’s my NEW go-to product that can be used under our Hight Definition Concealer ($22). It helps keep me looking fresh and awake during long days and even longer evenings at red carpet galas,” says Taylor.
LIPS & EYES
Here’s a big beauty tip. If the lip colour is deep keep the eyes light and use liner for pop for everyday. The exception is when you want to stand out especially when you know you will be photographed then you should use more colour. Head to Smashbox for the latest colour combinations that are best suited for you. Their 15 Hour Limitless Cream Shadows ($22) and Be Legendary Liptick ($22) collections are fabulous!
They’ve got so many more great insider beauty tips to offer and advice that people like you and I can translate into our busy lives. Visit them in-store or online for more!
