I love food.
Apparently cooking is part of my job as a mom
I do like to make treats and yummy things for people I care about.
I don’t have a lot of time.
I have no staff.
Therefore Martha and I have nothing in common.
I do all the cooking at art camp and shockingly some (maybe not the naked noodle bunch) of the girls list the food as why they keep coming back.
We eat very basic kid friendly food and usually some VERY CRITICAL art camp desserts.
This one I call chocolate sleeping bags. Do they look like sleeping bags? I recognize the names I give things can be odd.
10 small squares wax paper for 10 campers
handful of milk chocolate chips on each piece
microwave till melted, spread with spatula until it looks like a car accident
(8 year old assistant)
any flavour ice cream -spoonfull plopped in middle
fold one side to other (sleeping bag?)
place in freezer (in a container- otherwise easy recipe becomes chore of cleaning out freezer of sticky mess)
eat after a bit or a lot
We eat in bathing suits on dock and jump in lake after as they can be messy on a hot day. (But please know I have also served at a dinner party on pretty plates with drizzle of caramel and raspberries and people thought I was a genius. Ok, yes they were drinking and the lights were dim )
Stay tuned – I have more ridiculously easy party tricks to pass on.
Yes, still masquerading as an adult.

dinner soon- next time you are in TO
Never let Martha close enough to ruin you! She would never get that close to me as she hates my kind
Tracey says
Also, you know I HATE Martha, right? She totally ruined my life… but I think I’ve said that once, or fifty-five times before. 😉
Tracey says
That’s my favourite thing about you, non-Martha… love it!!
PS – I’d like to have dinner at your house, please.
Christine says
definitely going to give this a try – I can totally do it with Cuyler’s gluten/dairy free options!!
Thank you for a wonderfully fun tip!
