Roman meets Santa Claus, Mama was a mess. I wanted to crawl onto Santa’s lap and tell him the story of how this little boy got to this moment.
Roman walked right onto the little santa set and waved at the trains, felt the big velvet chair then wandered over to the guy with the beard. Santa was greeted in the same way that Roman treats every new person, a wave, a smile and a joyous heart, my boy is the spirit of Christmas.
Last year he was only four months old at Christmas, recently moved to the orphange, too young to know about toys under the tree and the magic of Christmas. I am deeply grateful that he is home in time for his family to be the ones to make the introduction to the fellow that he will soon know as Santa Claus.
I believe in Christmas magic.
Look at the miracle sitting on santa’s lap and I think you will too.
What’s you magical first memory of your children meeting the big guy?

This is the cutest ever! My girls are still afraid of Santa. He looks so happy.

Thanks for the insider tip on Cloverdale, Sara. I’m pretty sure this Santa Claus is legit. We are going to take a fellow little Russian today. She was afraid of Santa but I thought maybe she would feel better if Roman made the introductions.

I agree with Jen – best Santa picture ever! Love that Roman is here for this! My memory was last year when we just happened to be at Cloverdale when Santa made his big entrance. The look on Will’s face brought me to tears – it was bizarre…how do they know!

I think that is THE CUTEST Santa photo I have ever seen! Most children are trepidations at the very least but Roman is like Santa’s best friend! I am sure the Big Guy was thrilled and relieved to have a little one like Roman up for a visit.
My kids always enjoyed seeing Santa and whispering their secret wishes but this year my boy is 12 and it is the first time he has decided he doesn’t want to go. It’s tough for his mom 🙂
