Step 1: Find the ideal cream blush for you. (This one in Soft Plum is one of my favorites, but Sarah has a bunch of great finds, too.)
Step 2: VERY IMPORTANT. Dab some on UNDER — not on — your cheekbones, right in the middle of your face. (I got this tip from a makeup artist, and no joke, it’s one of my favorite tricks.) You’ll note you look like a crazy person.
Step 3: Blend in concentric circles outward from your freaky cheek dots!
Step 4: Voila! Perfectly applied, natural-looking flushed cheeks! (I’m not depressed; just trying not to smile, so you can see the cream blush application.)

“Freaky cheek dots” is my phrase of the week! And possibly my new band name!

excellent
love your makeup counter vs the live one where they say “Your skin is in drastic condition” and “why don’t you wear make up?” Umm. I am wearing makeup.
