I think it’s pretty safe to say that most fans felt like this season of American Idol was kind of the worst one yet. Most of the singers were sub-par at best, we saw the finalists coming from a mile away, and the judging was, well, in the words of Randy Jackson…just a’ight, dawg.
But here’s an interesting question. The producers are trying to keep the fans, and with the exit of Simon Cowell this year and the return of producer Nigel Lythgoe, changes are afoot. They are wondering if you’d be more interested in watching American Idol if, say, the judges were these guys…
There are rumors swirling and some talks of Usher, Harry Connick Jr, and Chris Isaak too.
What do you think? Would this change you mind about idol? Or are you going to watch anyway? Or are you done watching no matter what?

Personally, I would like to see Harry Connick, Jr. as a judge. I thought that he was great with the contestants this season, and really put in the extra effort. He’s funny, but has great musical talent and expertise as well!
But…the next question is….who is going to replace Ellen now???

Kind of funny, since this is the first year I really didn’t get into Idol, except the season during winter of ’04. I was pregnant and the only thing that made me naucious was Ryan Seacrest’s voice;-)
Whoever they get, they have to have spunk and not hold anything back. The show needs some new life and good talent to get me back.
