PC Dulce de Leche Banana Cream Pie

Are you looking for the newest taste sensation that will have your friends and family licking their plates and complimenting your defrosting baking skills? You’ll find it in the freezer section of the nearest grocery store that carries President’s Choice products.
Ten years ago, when I brought my first born home from the hospital, my mother brought over the “hot” dessert of 1999….banoffee pie. A mix of caramel, bananas and coffee beans added up to a taste of heaven. It became a staple recipe in our family, but was a little labour intensive to be anything but a special dessert. Achieving the proper caramel consistency meant dedicated stirring of the condensed milk over a low heat for approximately 20 minutes straight. Since the birth of my first born, it’s been rare that I’ve had 20 minutes straight to dedicate to anything!
Flash forward a decade, and President’s Choice has come out with another winner. Their Dulce de Leche Banana Cream Pie (introduced this summer) has quickly become a favourite in my household. Starting with a graham cracker crust, it’s covered with a layers of dulce de leche, banana cream pie and whipped cream.
So save yourself at least 20 minutes (an eternity in a busy mother’s life, right??) and try this one out the next time you’re looking for an easy and delicious way to end dinner.
Looking for another way to make dinners easier? You can win a year’s supply of Janes Family Foods. Enter here for your chance to win 40 coupons redeemable for free Janes products or one of two secondary prizes of 12 coupons each.
