This weekend three of my bestest pals came up to the cottage. All three of them are now living outside of Canada but as native Canadians were thrilled to enjoy some space and fresh air! We had a blast and laughed ourselves silly. It was during one such laugh-fest that we coined the phrase, and our weekend, the Part-eh! This of course was to poke fun at foreigners’ beliefs that all Canadians use and overuse the term “eh” and to celebrate their homecoming!
I took them on a “virtual tour” of urbanmoms.ca and proudly showed them my contributions in the Baileys Girls Night section. Of course, after all that talk about Baileys and the new Shiver craze I’ve been enjoying this summer I once again pulled out my blender and started to whip it up (literally and figuratively of course).
We then took the theme to the next level and challenged ourselves to an eh-less weekend. The punishment for any slip up was dish duty. Not realizing that my pals had a huge advantage having not lived here for many years I found myself washing all of the dishes solo. Thankfully, the girls took pity on me and helped me out (plus they really wanted to get down to the dock for more of the Part-eh). Great fun had by all!

LOVE the idea! I moved 5 years ago to the U.S. My girlfriends and I make a point of getting together every year, usually to ski in Banff or Whistler. They also live all over the world so this is a big event. This year we are going to have a Part-eh too! Thanks for the suggestion.
