These days are busy.
From Saturday to Saturday this week we had three baseball tournaments in three different cities (on top of four regularly scheduled baseball games), two soccer games and a flag football game. We celebrated the birthdays of two of my three children, our 16th wedding anniversary and my son attended two bar mitzvahs. At work I had a professional conference (with evening social) and my husband had two days of off-site training, which meant a heavier work load on the days he was able to get in. Phew. Throw in a school fun fair, a field trip and an evening out with friends, and I can barely catch my breath.
It was the wrong week to pick up the hottest thriller of the summer, but Tuesday found me downloading Gone Girl to my Kobo, and I’ve been up until the wee wee hours reading this amazing suspense story about the disappearance of a woman on her fifth wedding anniversary, told from the viewpoints of husband and wife.
I pry my eyelids open each morning after way too little sleep and look in the mirror, barely recognizing the puffy-visaged, bleary-eyed woman looking back.
What’s getting me through these days without terrifying neighbourhood children?
Part of the Canadian company’s new Fresh Face Line, it’s 99% plant-derived, with natural green tea caffeine that refreshes tired eyes. I joke often that I need my caffeine hooked up intravenously on these busy days, but now I’ve discovered I just needed in slathered under my eyes!
The roller ball instantly cools and brightens the appearance of puffiness with its cool roll-on application (by cool here I mean the temperature; though it’s also cool by nature).
The product is meant to soothes the skin, and can improve the look of dark circles, while still being light enough to combine with other moisturizers and eye treatments.
I’ve been using it every morning and I swear by it to help me look and feel more awake. Lately I’ve been swabbing over and under my eyes mid-day to brighten my peepers, too.
This stuff works.
It’s $19.99 for a pen-sized roller that I expect will see me past all the craziness that the month of June throws at us (we still have one more birthday, lots more baseball and a couple of parties!)
There are eight products in the Fresh Face collection, and I’m looking forward to trying them all. Find them at Shoppers Drug Mart and Wal-Mart stores across Canada.
I was provided with samples of this products, but was not compensated in any way for this review, and all opinions are my own.
