So.
Apparently we are expecting.
A cat.
I do not want a cat nor have I ever wanted a cat but for some reason* and some how, Cuyler has a cat growing in his tummy.
Or at least that’s what he’s telling everybody.
It’s a boy cat. Named Owen.
He’ll point out where the head and feet are.
He’ll tell you that sometimes Owen hiccups.

He’ll tell you that sometimes Owen hiccups.
He’ll tell you that Owen is coming out March 5th.
And then he’ll lift his shirt, stick out his belly and ask if you want to “give it a rub”

Most people laugh and give his tummy a tickle. Strangers…not so much.
I woke up Monday morning to Cuyler putting my camera on my pillow and demanding I take a picture of him. DO IT MOM!
Ask nicely and I might.
“Mom can you please take my picture of me?”
Ask nicely and I might.
“Mom can you please take my picture of me?”
“Just like your picture when Eva was in your tummy” pats tummy “This is my cat Owen”
Oh I get it. A belly shot. Nice one. And now I’m getting a little worried about you buddy.
For good measure, so none of us forget when the big day is, he’s posted it. I noticed this as I did laundry this morning. He’s even given Owen a middle name.
If you can’t make out what the blinding yellow highlighter says, it reads:
Owen Robert coming out in March 5
(that is his bedroom door and yes, he’s written Mr C’s CLASS on it)
I‘m anxious to see what happens on March 5th.
Cuyler doesn’t even like cats.

*The back story on this is that my friend, who is a teacher at the boys school is expecting a baby girl very soon. Cuyler has been smitten with her belly for a while now. She also has an almost 2 year old boy. Can you guess what his name is?

ahhh…so the plot thickens!
I wonder how this will all play out…

You made me remember my oldest he was almost three when my second was born was pregnant the whole time and then some.
First it was 10 babies, then it was just one and we even contemplated putting a baby doll in his bed one night so the baby would be born. One day he just got over it BUT we never had a due date for his baby!

I absolutely LOVED this story! You are definitely going to have to update us on March 5’th. Can you record this momentous occasion and upload it for us? I am curious to see what colour Owens’ eyes are going to be. ILMFAO

Thank you for sharing your good news! This has started my day off with a chuckle. …. Maybe you could get him a stuffed toy cat for March 5.. or maybe he’ll be overdue and you can prolong the magic for an extra week or two!

As another twist to this story, March 5th happens to be Nolan’s (aka Dillon) birthday. Is that where March 5th came from?
He looks so proud to be carrying that cat-baby, I hope the delivery goes smoothly.
