words for wednesday-overheard in the art studio

November 2, 2011 by Nancy

abby's bday.jpg

“My grandpa died because he smoked all the time and drank before noon. He kept money in his socks and yelled if the roast beef was rare. He had a favourite seat and screamed if anyone went near it. He died of meanness maybe”

“Do you have any friends who are older than us ?” 6 year old artist.
“Do you really sleep upstairs? Like right above the art studio?”
“Who is your favourite superhero?”
“What do you want to be when you grow up, Nancy?”
“I never want to leave you- when I grow up I am going to ride my own bike so I can come here every day and I will stay the whole day and night  right here beside you”
“Can you come to my birthday party? It is a sleepover. You will love it”
 These are my clients.

I love the conversations that go on with children! They are so innocent and hold nothing back! So the question is “are you going to the sleepover?” lol
