One of the best perks about having kids is getting to dress them. They’re like tiny dolls! Tiny dolls that talk back and occasionally pee on trees, but dolls nonetheless. I’ve noticed more and more frequently that the line between kids’ clothes and adults’ stuff is blurring. Little girl gear, in particular, is looking more polished and less childish. (The recent — and stunning — Stella McCartney for Gap Kids collection is one example that springs immediately to mind.)
I have a relatively petite frame, and to that end, I recommend that anyone who’s similarly built check out the kids racks. Gap Kids and Crewcuts, in particular, are treasure troves of gorgeous kid staples that looks great on adults…I just picked up this dress at Crewcuts, and if I didn’t TELL you it was from Crewcuts, would you have known?
The prices are a bit more friendly to your wallet than their adult-sized counterparts, too. So if you’re on the petite side, definitely sneak a peak at the kids’ racks the next time you’re in the store. You may come across some great finds for you.

Hi Metalia,
I hope this finds you doing well. So last month we released a new app, Obaby (obabyapp.com).
We think it’s awesome. 🙂 Would you like to try it out? If so, I’ll
send you a code for a free download. Please just let me know. Thanks!

Hmmm I have a petite frame and used to fit into children’s clothes – until I had 8 children ha, ha! The dress is very nice though – awww if only my boobs and shoulders didn’t keep getting bigger with all these damn kiddies! Well at least my 13 year old daughter will like them;)

J.Crew for younger set, Tracey. I spent quite a bit of time and $ with my daughter in there when we visited the US this summer. Stylish and not childish designs.

With the added benefit of not paying tax!
I most definitely DON’T have a petite frame, but I had a great friend who used to buy lots of stuff from Gap Kids. Great way to save money on your wardrobe if you can fit those clothes!

I don’t know from Crewcuts… are they in Canada?
