A few weeks ago I posted how Eva is making mornings a little easier for me.
Well…mornings just got a little easier. Again.
Yesterday morning I hopped in the shower and happily realized that we were at the point where I can leave the kids unattended for things like that – showering and whatnot.
Got out, got dressed and headed downstairs to prep breakfast for the little ones. Cam was at hockey practice (7am…oy) but he gets his own breakfast anyways.
“I did it myself and I didn’t spill, Mommy!”
Wow. You sure did! Good job baby girl!
Is it just me or is 3 a little young to be getting her own breakfast??
Regardless I was proud of her for doing it all by herself, without having to be asked.
We do need to work on quantity of milk necessary for a bowl of cereal. This is a wee bit too much, no?
And please take notice of how much little milk she spilled. NOT MUCH AT ALL.
Impressive.
Ok. Really. Who am I kidding? I thought the whole thing was totally adorable.
And yes – we have 3 boxes of Apple Jacks.

Not in the States Ali – we get them at Superstore!
They say “Limited Edition” but they’ve been out for about a year now.
Sara – Sean has a grocery shopping problem wherein he buys cereal EVERY single week, regardless of how many boxes we already have.
Sara says
dude – that is enough cereal for an entire public school….hahahah i love it!
Ali says
I LOVE THIS.
so much. especially the shot of the mess she made.

That’s great! 3 is certainly not to young to prepare milk with dry cereal. My girls (5 & 7) have been helping themselves for a couple of years. It’s our job to enable our children to be independent. Your story also made me think of something else.
I just started reading the book ‘The Glass Castle’ by Jeannette Walls. The protagonist of the story was boiling water for hot dogs at 3 years of age. Needless to say, she suffered bad burns.

that’s okay, we have 4 boxes of mini wheats! too cute. i mean, how can you correct that? she’s awesome!
