Since summer is mos def completely over, I need to put some things away, and bring others out of storage. This is me making decisions about what gets to stay in my closet. We have to do this now and then – you can’t keep everything forever. Well, at least I don’t have the storage space for that. Besides, this way I can make new for NEW and IMPROVED items!
I bought this sweater at a sample sale a few summers ago from Boutique Fly (which has amazing stuff, by the way) for about $40. I was deeply in hate with my closet at the time, and I remember forcing myself to choose something bright! and with colour! and different! from everything else I own, which is generally black, grey, white, or striped. Or denim. (Or sequined.)
Anyway, I liked the wide neckline, and I thought the keyhole in the front wasn’t too cheeky, and it’s a lovely sorbet colour that looks terrific with an equally lovely sorbet pink I own in both a sandal and a bag. Over white jeans or shorts? Amazeballs, right?!
Well, here’s the thing: I never hardly ever chose to wear it. I’d put it on, and then change about ten minutes later. If I forced myself out the door with it on, I almost always wished I’d worn something else.
So, it’s been sitting in my drawer for ages, mocking me, and reminding me of a bad decision I once made. Now, who needs that?
Out you go, orange sweater… you’ll find someone else to love you the way you deserve, I’m sure.

Hey this is kinda of off topic but I was wondering if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML. I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding experience so I wanted to get guidance from someone with experience. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Le sigh. I know, me neither. I really wanted to love it, but it just didnt work out for us. Never mind, there are others out there to love…!

You know, its not a bad idea, but Im smaller than most of the people I know, so “swapping” wouldnt do very well for me. I do tend to exchange items with one person, and Ill ask her if shell want this sweater – its in great condition (of course) and she wears colours. Like a normal person. I usually just donate everything still-useful to Goodwill.
