Yeah, this tunic sweater. It doesn’t look horrendous or anything, but I never choose it. I love it’s softness, and I love the colour. Sometimes three-quarter length sweaters bug me… but that’s not the thing. Today I put it on to remember what the hell my problem is.
I love a generous scoop neck on a garment, but this one is just a bit too wide, in that it’s constantly slipping off one shoulder or the other, which leaves me forever shifting and rearranging myself to make it sit right. That’s never good. And sure, I could have changed the belt on it, and chosen something skinny and black (patent, maybe?) but meh… I never wore it much.
Plus, it sheds a little. Ick.
Now that I’ve figured out the problem, I can get rid of it, knowing how not to make the same mistake again. Eventually I’ll find something in this colour that I like better.
Bye-bye now…

If evolution really works, how come mothers only have two hands? It is a saying I read recently that I liked.

Thats a great tip, April! I actually knew about it before – just too lazy to do it on any garment I didnt really love… of course, I might have liked it better had it not been so “slippy” but in this case, I think the whole garment was mostly “meh.”
It IS an excellent pearl though… something to help keep a lady from going cuckoo-bananas about, which is never a bad thing. 🙂

Do you think so? I DO like a good scoop… this one is too “slippy” for me, I think. I hope I can find something else in this colour too – looks so great with brown. Looking for something soft and generous in this pinky-lilac tone to top a brown tutu I have – tres puuuuurrrrr…
I love that you read this, Alice. 😉

The wide scoop LOOKS fantastic, so flattering – but clothes that make you feel uncomfy and self-conscious are not helpful, for sure. I never like longer sweaters, but on me, it’s a pear-shaped thing, they just don’t work. The colour is very pretty – hopefully you’ll find something new in lilac!
