I can vividly remember my first OLD NAVY experience in Chicago 12 years ago. Hubby and I pushing the baby stroller down the street one summer’s day heading to this massive warehouse sized store that was filled to the brim with colourful clothes. It was always a fun place to shop for quality fashion wear for the entire family. We stocked up on the most adorable baby clothes and stuff for us. We boasted about the deals we had scored when we returned home. Not too long after we found OLD NAVY on our turf in the city. The same bright colours and playful environment with bouncy ball dispensing machines and cheery staff.
With kids you KNOW they will go through (and grow out of) clothes like crazy fast, so shopping at OLD NAVY has always been easy and bang on with trends. Rarely did they not have a size in a style I wanted… I swear if I had a girl she’d be decked out, serious. And ever wonder why the store always looks neat? Did you know that they have staff around the clock to replenish stock, fold and tidy so your shopping is made pleasant and easy? Them folks are mighty fine and they think of everything!
Now just when you think they couldn’t get any better…well, they did! Last week OLD NAVY and Urbanmoms hosted an early morning VIP event to an exclusive group of “influencers” as the retailer revealed their latest revamp at the Toronto Eaton Centre flagship store – the new look is part of a series of remodels across North America. This store alone gives customers nearly 20,000 square feet of improved shopping accessibility.
Here are some featured changes…
- Quick change pods throughout the store so mom and kids can quickly pop in and try something on.
- Spacious dressing rooms have been moved to the centre of the store and are designed to feel more intimate.
- All new stores include an interactive play space that is fun and safe for kids.
- The Toronto Eaton centre store features an expanded maternity assortment.
- Easy to read signage instantly communicates what’s going on in the store and exciting promotions.
- The overall store redesign improves visibility with lowered product booths.
- Cash registers are now in the centre of the store.
- The store design with customer flow in mind. The layout of the store will guide customers around the store making it even easier to browse and find products.
In keeping with OLD NAVY’s philosophy of a stress-free and fun shopping experience, this relaunch event came complete with Tiny Tom Donuts, as well as Netflix entertainment zone for kids with iPads loaded up with their APP so kids could watch their favourite shows and play some games. OPI manicure stations and Blo Blow Hair Dry Bar were there to pamper the guests, and DJ Sound Boi that kept everyone groovin’ !
It was a fun morning dancing and shopping for the latest in holiday looks! Totally stocked up on those sparkly tops and fleecy gloves- you know, the ones that the kids keep losing? Also unveiled was OLD NAVY’s newest jewellery collection. Amazing price points!!! Absolutely NO EXCUSES not to jazz up your wardrobe! And the wall of ballet flats is like saddling up to a candy counter…hard to just pick one!
