Old Dress, New Tricks

May 8, 2011 by Metalia

I have a simple, pretty red-orange J.Crew dress I picked up on crazy clearance a few years back. Because it was on crazy clearance, it was a size too big, but I bought it anyway, because I: love (a) dresses; (b) the color; (c) steals; and (d) pretty-colored dresses that are  steals.

While I do love the dress, it never fit quite right, and so I haven’t worn it very frequently. I found it the other day, buried in the back of my closet and had an idea…would a belt help?

Yes, yes it would.

The belt changed it up, made the dress look like it fit better, and pulled together the outfit.

Lesson learned.
