In our opinion: We once read that offering an apology brings grace. There can never be an excuse for what happened in residential schools – apologies are the only option and even that has been too long in coming.

In our opinion: There is some importance to identifying the “index patient” or “patient zero” in an outbreak. We hope that finding this little guy — who survived his brush with swine flu — will help researchers devise tests or even a vaccine.
