That got your attention didn’t it dirty girls?
Let me explain
I have been dreaming of this Christmas for a long time. Roman’s first Christmas at home and my first one as a Mom. Part of my Christmas fantasy is creating and sending out super cute Christmas Cards to all my family and friends. Perhaps not the most fantastical of fantasies but dressing my son up in cheesy Christmas attire for a super cheesy holiday card is on the bucket list for me.
I had planned to create my own little photo shoot with props from the dollar store and my old school Canon but fate has intervened. Our awesome photographer friend known as MoPo had a post up on facebook asking for nude models for a Christmas themed shoot at his studio so I asked if he would be interested in a 15 month old baby Russian to add to his subjects. Now before you get all grossed out with me I should explain that this photographer shoots his sometimes scantily clad subjects as art and the images are beautiful and a celebration of the human form. Still skeptical, here’s a few shots…………
He is also the unofficial photographer for a movement form that I do called Nia and has captured beauty in motion shots such as these…………………..
See, he is an artist, isn’t he? So I am thrilled that he is going to do our Christmas photo shoot and I think Roman dressed in just a hat and boots will be adorable. However, he would also like to include some shots of Mom. At first I said that I would be wearing a sweater and hat for the shoot but now I am pondering showing a little more skin.
How often do you have the opportunity to have your photo taken by someone who specializes in bringing out the beauty of the female form. I didn’t get to do the pregnant belly shots but I could take this opportunity to have some photos that are just as special. I would keep all my girly bits and wobbly ones under artful cover and I should clarify that these would be for me and not for the cards. No one needs to get that greeting in the mailbox.
What do you all think?
Did you do the pregnant belly pics?
Would you show some skin if the right photography opportunity presented itself?
Should I shed the sweater and keep on the boots?

Nude and/or semi-nude pregnancy photography is beautiful when done correctly. The lighting and angles need to be just so, and no nipple slips! 🙂
One of the cutest images I’ve ever created was a little boy, bare bum, sitting on top of his mom’s pregnant belly. To this day, it’s still one of my favourites!

I love the idea!! I’ve done lots of nude art pics for different reasons – I did some belly ones the first time I was pregnant, but only because the photographer asked me to sit for him… I don’t think I would have opted for a session otherwise. Artful nudes are my favourites… show more skin. I think everyone should try it once. You can just keep the images in a box under your bed, if you’re all shy about them. I’ll bet you’ll always be happy you have them, in any case. 😉

The nipple slip! I haven’t thought about that episode in ages… oh Elaine, I can relate.
I should perhaps say that I am not thinking of standing in front of the camera buck naked with my nude baby. I was thinking more of baby in furry boots and matching hat with his adorable butt exposed, perhaps standing next to my naked leg or me holding him with my naked back turned to the camera…. not all nudist camp but artsy, flirty fun.

I’m laughing so hard…just because I thought you meant to send out to people! Like Elaine from Seinfeld with the nipple slip…
I didn’t do the pregnancy nude shots – I didn’t do the pregnancy clothed shots either.
I’m totally down with the naked though. I was going to volunteer to nude model at art classes for extra money…(they like em curvy)…
I did pics with Will – he had jeans on and no shirt and I was clothed…they were really cool. I’m trying to picture if we were both naked…not sure that would be my thing – but I bet they’d be really awesome.
