Nailing It: The Festive

December 22, 2012 by Sonya

I like to have a little fun with my manis and why not? Lincoln Park After Dark is safe and the reds are great. But I wanted a little bling…just a little over the Christmas holidays. But I also wanted something I knew would last me through a few parties. We’re hosting double duty this Christmas with both families coming over a day apart. Then there’s New Year’s Eve.

So, I decided to go with CND World Shellac to give me a little more mileage. The Shellac mani’s usually last me between 2 to 3 weeks without chipping.  Plus, I could walk out of the nail salon with dry nails – no need to wait for drying time!
So, this is the look. CND World Shellac colour in Decandenxe with gold glitter brushed half way fade. It’s a mani that is done in the nail salon with the appropriate polish and properly trained technician.
It’s festive but not trying to take the title of “DanceHall Queen” as someone described it.
That…I will save for vacations to the warm Caribbean!
Happy Hollies!

Looks fun! I’m remembering now why I almost never do colour on my nails – I just can’t keep the tips from losing their colour while I do all this washing/cooking/scrubbing/wrapping, etc. (and chipped tips are soooo tacky) but it’s nice to have a finish that lasts. I should try one of these manis soon… if I can just fit it into this nuts schedule!!
