This is my last Mom Inc. post for Urban Moms. I have been writing here for nearly a year but I must say goodbye for now. It has been a terrific experience for me as I have connected with many moms through this site who have shared their wisdom with me. I also got to meet fellow UM Writers whom I now call friends. Being apart of Urban Moms opened a lot of new doors for me in every sense.
When I started the Mom Inc blog I wanted to write about what it was like to start a business while juggling motherhood – I wanted it to be the ‘story of my journey’. Through this journey, I confirmed that starting a business AND being an involved parent is a substantial challenge. In the name of ‘Prioritization’, I realized that some scale back was necessary. So I am sadly saying good bye to writing for Urban Moms.
I would like to thank Jen Maier for giving me a voice on Urban Moms for this past year. My posts helped me share revelations and experiences. Taking the time to write what was going on inside me really helped to process the insanity of the last year.
Thank you for listening to me, for sending your comments and sharing your words of wisdom. You can’t even begin to know how much it meant to me.
Writing continues to be an important part of my life and I’ll still post my musings through my site, Mom Entrepreneurs’ Network. If follow me on Facebook or Twitter, reach out and let’s keep in touch.
All the best and have a great holiday season.

Leigh, I’m sorry to see you go. I wish I had gotten to know you better. It is so hard to maintain that balance isn’t it. And as Tracey said, the babes are only young once. Good luck.
