I love crafts.
I do all kinds of crafts: knitting, sewing, scrapbooking, and I even paint and draw (when I can find enough time). And when I’m not actually making crafts, I love to read about other people’s crafts. Especially when those crafts involve making softies. Which I have tried my hand at, as well.
Pretty soon I’ll have a new and TOTALLY FABULOUS showcase for some of my favourite handmade goodies, but until then (oooohh…the excitement mounts!), I bring you my top five favourite craft blogs for handmade softies. Go visit them, and drool, and wish you could do what they do. Or, alternatively, support an artist and buy some of their stuff.
And so, in no particular order, Kath’s top five favourite handmade softies blogs (and a picture from each):
Wee Wonderfuls (she’s a wonderful photographer, too – isn’t this shot so full of whimsy?)
Allsorts (also a mean hand behind the lens)
Cuddlet (…because everyone loves cuddles)
One Red Robin (sweet softies from down under)

These are SO cute! I am not at all crafty but love to admire other people’s work. Can’t wait to see the “showcase”.

Thanks Kath, great sites. I want to be crafty, I do but I’m not sure I’m a natural. I do some scrap-booking but I have to admit it’s more like work than fun. I have to think a lot and try lots of different paper combinations before I get a product I like. I do like the end result though. I’m trying knitting, again hard work for me. Time is a big problem so more practice will help when I have time in a few years (2 year old twins don’t leave me with much extra time).
The current issue of Mothering magazine has a feature on crafty mamas who blog. Molly Chicken is in it and so is Soule Mama, by Amanda Soule.
