My Secret Love/Shame: Old Navy Maternity Tanks, Three Years Later

July 29, 2011 by Metalia

I am not pregnant.

Let me just get that out of the way right now. However, when I WAS pregnant with both of my kids, one of my staples was an unending parade of Old Navy maternity tanks with pretty much everything. And I’m, uh, still wearing them.

I should point out that my youngest is three.
Should I be more ashamed than I actually am? Probably, but the thing is, these tanks? They’re the best I’ve ever found, and I am a frequent purchaser of tanks, and other layering stuff. They (clearly) last, and what’s more, retain their shape. They’re also close-fitting (ironic, with a maternity tank, but there you go), and longer than most tanks, offering coverage without falling into an awkward tunic length-type situation. They also don’t LOOK…maternity-ish, so your shameful secret is safe. Oh, and they run only about $8
(Okay, spill. Who else is still wearing a beloved article of maternity gear?)

Ha, ha I have a drawer full of these same tanks and yes I still wear them! I also love their tee’s and wear those when I am in a lazy mood! No shame at all….

no need for shame! do you know how impossible it was to find tanks that covered you up? everything was all midriff baring crap and i have seen a total of 3 people in the city of toronto (pop. many millions) that could pull off that “brittney” look.
these tanks were just a little longer than the usual ones and they were/are a staple of my wardrobe!
