I am generally quite boring when it comes to my pedicure colors. Pale pinks in the summer, and reds/burgundies in the winter. DULLSVILLE. I have been trying to branch out a bit, and I’ve found a new favorite: Essie California Coral ($4).
I usually shy away from coral tones, on account of my fear that I’ll look like a refugee from the Golden Girls’ house, but something about this shade just worked. It’s a perfect, flattering summery shade; a bright, true coral that’s neither too pink or too orange, but somehow contains beautiful tones of both. It’s bright yet not too loud, and — I swear — somehow makes my skin look more tan. If you’re looking to change things up at your next manicure and/or pedicure, this is a perfect pick that will look good on pretty much anyone.
Coral is a HUGE colour this year, too.
I still have some blues and greens that I love, and finally found a perfect purple.
But tonight I’m going chocolate, since my deep burgundy is getting all chippy. (ew)
