I have this little girl who is obsessed with horses. Her blooming interest in all things equine began last year and has only been intensifying. (She has told us that when she grows up she is going to to be a cowgirl and live with a horse in a barn on our orchard.)
I think it’s a wonderful passion and I’d love to foster it in her, but I am a little scared it’s going to cost us thousands of dollars. Riding lessons, someday boarding and feeding a horse, all the equipment and time that goes into it…not exactly a budget-friendly hobby.
But then I look at this, the wonder she feels when she’s with a horse and I want to do all I can to help her keep feeling that.

same boat. our daughter is horse obsessed and i have the same fears of the cost of this hobby/ passion…. thankfully for now, our neighbours have horses that we feed/ visit everyday. scratch that, several times a day! ( I go through sacks of carrots from costco). i am terrified of horses but it is neat to see that some of these things are just “in them”, as neither my husband nor I have any interest in horses.

Love this picture of her with my big guy:) Fear not. It isn’t as expensive as you think when you have your own land…and oh so wonderful!

That is sweet! I want my girls to be passionate about something. Preferably something cheap. 😉
