you never forget your first kiss.
(you’re thinking about it. i know. go on, remember your first kiss. and smile. and wonder where that boy (or girl) is right now)
mine was the summer before 7th grade. Benji was an older man – an 8th grader…ooh. and i really liked him. and he kissed me. in my parents’ garage. he tasted like strawberries. and gum. and it was nice. and awkward. and innocent.
(and if you’re wondering, he’s a doctor somewhere. yale, i think?)
but most first kisses are. innocent and sweet. but not usually all that GOOD.
it wasn’t until years later – in high school – that kissing actually become something i enjoyed. something more of an experience. something that was so different with each person i kissed (now don’t go thinking that there were THAT many of ’em…because there really weren’t). hard, soft, wet, dry, fast, slow, hot, silly, romantic. just different. some were good different and some were, just, well, not.
i miss that (i’ve been kissing the same person for over 10 years!). that first kiss with a new person. after all the, erm, built-up tension…finding out what it’s like to kiss that person. i did a lot of wondering back then – checking out a person’s mouth and lips – trying to figure out what kind of kisser he would be.
and i still wonder now. you could be my pediatrician (i know, i know, some people have hottie pediatricians) or my mailman, or my check-out person at Loblaws…but i’m secretly assessing you.
now that i’ve spilled my little secret (is it getting hot in here?) tell me, what’s your favorite body part? (i am also a big fan of this – that area at the waist…mmm..) but mostly it’s the mouth. i think it tells a lot about a person.
My 1st real kiss was in gr. 8 and he tasted like chocolate – smarties to be exact. I remember it perfectly! I often long for that feeling of anticipation when I was dating…the butterflies, the sparks…ahhh! A great smile always does it for me.
I was 12. There was a lot of tongue. It was icky. I found him again recently on Facebook. He works in Indonesia. And…. that’s interesting to no one but me!
I didn’t know I liked muscle-y shoulders until my husband had ’em. In fact, I didn’t know I liked muscle-y men until he became one. Sure do like that!
And yes, those first feelings of falling in love, or lust, are easy to miss.
My first kiss was a bit icky too. I LOVED this post, Ali. Ah, for the chance to have that anticipation of the first kiss with someone again! I love my hubby but I totally know what you mean…as I’m sure he does too.
I love a good rear end…firm, round…yup. Especially in those boxer/briefs. Phew, it is hot in here!
I like a great smile…. Josh-O has the best dimples. They sold me at first glance.
My first kiss (at summer camp when I was, like, 14), was YUCK.
This post was hilarious!
