Middle-aged Tight Ends

I love watching football. I don’t understand it but I find it a bit romantic. I love the boyishness- the wrestling for the little pigskin, the temper tantrums, the emotions, the cute little dances when they get a touchdown. I love the smack on the butt, I love the strong forearms and the broad shoulders and the tight ends.

So what happened to the beautiful specimens from past Superbowls?
I tune in for the Superbowl snacks and the Superbowl snacks. And I could not find one delicious thing to look at.
I kept thinking makeover, cutting shears, diet and maybe even a little  soap and water.
Speaking of snacks, Casey “snack” Hampton was asked for his actual weight and he said “300 and change”. What I could buy with that change.
It is not just the 45th Superbowl that has reached middle age. The fellas look it too. 45 years ago, Green Bay’s first Superbowl team, didn’t have a guy heavier than 265 pounds.
And they probably cut their hair too.

And a Cal alumn to boot. Aaron Rodgers is a tremedous QB and class act. Can’t believe the 49ers passed over him in favor of Alex Smith. Now we have to look for another QB.

Clay Matthews great game. Three words for you you, A. J., and Troy:What a great game! Yes I was pulling for the Steelers, but watching how classy and respectful the Packers were over winning made it enjoyable to watch! Congrats Packers! Thank God it wasn’t the Patriots!!! :->
