Make way for Santa! Really!

December 16, 2012 by Sonya

0001ZZ.jpegMy neighbourhood is pretty excited about Christmas. You can tell by all the giant Christmas inflatables on the front lawns and twinkling lights on the houses. The kids all love checking them out on their way to school each day. My husband contemplated one of the Santa inflatables when we were in  Canadian Tire last weekend. But I quickly reminded him that our front lawn is not THAT big, really.  The dripping lit up icicles are kinda kitchy cute and eye-catching amongst the others. My younger one would like us to do this (pic) ——–>

I’m a less is more type of person.

But wait. Here’s a show-stopper that will really get your kids excited as well as the neighbour’s kids. We got this idea from this video clip and I’m hoping we can get this up in our backyard this weekend. Give Santa clearance with a lit up runway for his sleigh right to your house!

Yes, even Rudolph will thank you!

Have you decked your halls AND your outdoor space? What do you have on your front lawn?
This YouTube video put out by Canadian Tire explains it (so you can DIY) and captures the spirit of the season.
